of people who bought Spydercos from Amazon and then question the authenticity. Buy from reputable places people...

I just bought a Spyderco off of Amazon, but now I'm questioning its authenticity....is there perhaps a tireless father of twin boys out there who can help me with this?

Pretty sure Spyderco sells directly to Amazon, and they're the biggest distributor. The problem is people buying from Amazon retailers, not from Amazon itself. Derek from KnivesShipFree was on a podcast this summer and talked about Spyerco's deal with Amazon.

This may be unnecessarily snarky, but it did make me laugh a little.

I have a knife spelled Spiderco. I'm sure it is authentic though right. I'm sure spyderco can't always get the name right on their knives.. right?

NOT!!!!

I bought my Delica from Amazon. I paid a few bucks extra to get one 'shipped by Amazon.' Easy to return stuff to them, as well as deal with warranties. Persistence and Dragonfly, too. Used my Speedway rewards from buying gas, got a $50 gift certificate so my Dragonfly cost me $1.99, and shipped for free.

It is always the same answer: if you have doubts about the reputation of the source, then don't buy from the source.

This post is making me concerned about the Spydercos I bought from Amazon, I guess this paranoia has been gestating in my brain for the last 14 months since I bought one...

This thread makes me concerned that people don't know Amazon offers buyer protection that may be even better than eBay's.
And tired...

skip the 3rd party vendor? Some people might not know Spydercos aren't all made in Colorado too.

I'm pretty sure all my big site Spyder's are authentic. But, I just bought this Seb looking Sanrenmu for $6.99. I want to make sure it's an authentic Chinese import SanRenBenza, and not some US made look-a-like knock off. Can someone please help?

But now that I think about it, I do have a couple Spydies that I bought at this fun little tourist shop in Colorado, something like The Funky Monkey Dispensary & Gifts, but for some reason my memory of the exact name is a little fuzzy. Don't know why. Anyway, found some knives in a case with some weird looking vases. One is labeled Spydercoo Dragonflies and the other is a Delicant. Very cool knives and I'm sure they're legit because they were made right there in Colorado. Anyone else getting the urge for Pringles? Or Twinkie's?

Wish I had pics of them. But after using them for a year or so, I sold them both NIB right here on the forum exchange for way more than I paid. I gave the buyer a killer deal, so I hope he's really using the heck out of them like I did. I'm sure they were a limited edition Sprint run, because they were the only ones like them made with upgraded Surgical Spring Steel that I've ever seen. Maybe when he's ready to upgrade, he will be reselling them here NIB (maybe LNIB), so more of you can enjoy a couple of amazing blades as much as we have.
