Not trying to fuel any paranoia, but I've heard of crooks buying "real" knives from Amazon, then returning a fake, getting their money refunded, and keeping the real one . If that happens, it's very possible that a fake sent back to Amazon as a return might be sent out again to a new buyer without Amazon ever knowing that they are sending a fake. I doubt Amazon employs experts in knife authentification and that they inspect every knife to insure it's not a fake before issuing a refund or shipping the knife out.
And if you're tired of people buying Spyderco knives (or any other knives) and questioning their authenticity, I have a suggestion for you- Don't read threads about people buying Spyderco knives and questioning their authenticity
