I REALLY Like my small plain Sebenza 21 Insingo

Was looking for a while and finally scored one, coming next week. Left hand small was missing everywhere. I have a feeling that the small plain Insingo can possibly be the ultimate EDC folder for me.

the small insingo is the ultimate EDC! Love everything about it:thumbup:

this thread deserves some pics don't you think?

photo 22.jpgI carry a small plain Insingo everyday!! It is always with me even if I carry another blade I still carry the insingo, by far the best blade shape out there. And yes this thread does deserve pictures. I stonewashed mine.

Wow that stone washed scales look fantastic. Is that a factory job or had it done by someone or yourself? I might have to try that when mine comes in.

I had a small micarta insingo and it is very nice. If I were to buy another small insingo, it would probably be the plain jane version. After owning plain jane small and large regulars, I can really appreciate the simplicity and smooth feel of the untouched titanium scales.

I also prefer the simplicity of plain sebenza, which is why the Large plain 21 is my favorite knife. But for me, while the slim sleekness of the large is perfect, in the small version it doesn't come off as well. I have large hands and the small plain sebenza just gets lost in my hand, it doesn't feel comfortable. So I got rid of my plain small and insingo and got a small insingo micarta inlay and a small 21 ebony inlay. I love the extra roundness the inlays add to the handle while still keeping the side of the scale fairly flat overall.

Also, for me the insingo blade shape works best in the small model rather than the large. So my most used CRKs are my large plain 21 and my small micarta insingo.

Hi folks, I just received my Insingo plain Sebenza here at Atibaia and I agree with you - it is the best EDC I've had, customs included! Congrats to you happy fellows owners!
Best regards.

Fantastic! Large or small?

Excellent blade profile that can cover anything. Congratulations and enjoy:thumbup:

I was just looking at the Small Insingo with or without micarta inlays, for my Birthday. My wife let me choose whichever I liked and I ended up going with a TNK Tanto Umnumzaan. I love this knife, but, I can't stop thing about the Insingo, one reason why I went with the Um was that I thought that the small Sebenza was a bit too small, anyone have comparison pics of the small Insingo , maybe against a Sage? I really shouldn't be asking as this will cause me to loose sleep and seek out an Insingo but, please....
Also to Micarta or not to Micarta....

Beautiful knife by the way...

^^^This^^^ When I first became interested in knives, it took me years to accept a tanto profile; although I don't have any yet, I'm fascinated with them. When I first saw the Insingo, I thought it was going to be years before I could accept that blade profile too; but I was wrong, it only a few minutes.:). There's something about its resemblance to a mini-cleaver that now has me obsessed. Note to self; must have mini-cleaver, must polish mini-cleaver's blade, must hold and love mini-cleaver long time.:p

For some it might be too small but the insingo blade has a huge cutting surface that makes it seem bigger than it's 3" would suggest. No micarta for me, I like the plain look.

I have the small in plain and micarata. I much prefer the silver lugs -- other than that, I prefer the plain.
