If you shot the guy and he's down and he has that crutch, let him throw his temper tantrum, don't loose more rounds and just let him bleed. When the ParaMedics get there, they can't treat him until he calms down, so you let him bleed until he goes unconscious. Simple as that.
There are some people on forums who would then say, "Well goddamnit! If he won't let EMS treat him 'cause he's swinging a crutch around sittin' on his ass, shoot him again!"
I remember when Chesapeake Knife and Tool was up at Harborplace in Murderland, yeah? One of the employees told me that a loonatron went in there and was handed a Cold Steel Magnum Tanto to look at and he wacked himself right across the inside of one wrist or forearm. Baltimore City responded and EMS responded and the could not approach the guy because, well, he had a CS Magnum Tanto in his hand! So, the employee told me they let him hemorrhage until the point where he lost consciousness and then they disarmed him, restrained and treated and transported him.
I just want to see an even playing field and I don't think police should be given special rights, that's all.
If it turns out that he shot this guy while he was grounded and only had a crutch, it's wrong. If someone breaks into your home with a bat and you put him down and then you shoot him when he is down and he cannot get up to attack you again, you're probably going to go away for a few years. Forensic Science is a wonderful thing, they can tell if you were shot while you were on the ground, etc.
