Well, I guess it's always good to know who the morons who can't read are. He said "everybody who signs up today" - yesterday. And yet some of you continue posting here. You win the booby prize.
No response yet in either thread, I'm tempted to call shenanigans. Of course, he has claimed that he will have them done quicker than it took to catch OBL, which gives him roughly 9 years (or 3 months if you believe we killed him at Tora Bora and kept the body frozen for use at a later, more politically desperate time). Still, I'm curious to see how he responds once he sobers up. I don't want to get on his bad side, but I don't see him making 100+ knives that cheap either.
Nor do I think anyone would be upset or hold a grudge against him if they didn't get one because he got in over his head.
im no. 81, hopefully i will make it. if not well i for one wont have hard feelings etc. either way its a great thing he is doing. There are no shenanigans going on. I've talked to him on multiple occasions today about this, and have helped him put together a list of everyone who responded, from both threads, based on the time of their post. There were over 200 people who want a knife, when the initial offer was 50, then it was "I'm going to cut it off at midnight", and the "I'll take one's" kept rolling in.
Anyway, the point is that he is working on this, but with 200+ replies, there is a ton of logistics above and beyond however many knives he finally decides he can make. People will be contacted once everything is set up, and they will be contacted in the order they posted, with the first 50 getting priority, then working through the list from there. Give the guy a break.
