This is the first thing I thought of Tapestry

is a form of art. It is woven by hand on a weaving-loom. It is weft-faced weaving, which means that all the warp threads are hidden in the completed work, unlike cloth weaving where both the warp and the weft threads are visible. In this way, a colourful pattern or image is created. Most weavers use a naturally based warp thread such as linen or cotton. The weft threads are usually wool or cotton, but may include silk, gold, silver, or other alternatives.

Both craftsmen and artists have produced tapestries.

NICE! What is the coloration on the blade? it looks it was quenched by splattering wet mud on the blade then left unpolished, although I'm sure thats not what it is.

As an engineer, foofoo names definitely aren't my specialty. Model numbers are easier for me to remember. Tapestry is a nice name however. It makes me think of a craftsman putting blood sweat and tears into a multi layered creation that tells a story. In this case the story would continue with the users life with the blade. Every scratch adding to the character and history of the artwork.

When i first saw it, considering its steel and shape, names having to do with razors came to mind. Rezaakatto, which i think means "razor cut" would be a relevant name.

both knives look like they have been through allot and came out stronger for it, crucible maybe?
whatever you decide to name them they are amazing looking knives!

Shadow in the Dark series! The blades look like shadows lurking in the dark for the unwary.

Maybe letter and number designators together... like LHR1 and LHR2. LHR standing for "Lloyd Harner Razor", or what ever else you might come up with. I just used that for an example, but you can use it if you want. I'm not very good with naming things either. -Matt-

Speckeled Caiman (a type of alligator, though yours would be the only speckeled one officially)
The Krockodilian (play on the word 'crocodile')
Oddly enough, for me, 'Toucan' also might fit

Good luck...it's a great design.

Just a bit OT:
When I was a corporate manager for McDonald's (many years ago) they were getting ready to introduce a 1/4Lb. hamburger (which was huge in the 1.2oz. burger days). It didn't have a name yet, so all the company people in the trial and testing loop called it the BGDH (Big God Damn Hamburger). After trying many names the only way the company could get us to stop calling it a BGDH was to just call it a 1/4 Pounder. Sometimes the simplest name is the best one !

And, yes...I still have my framed "Bachelor of Hamburgerology Degree", from "Hamburger University" is Elk Grove ,IL.
