I support Mick Strider!

I do believe that there is a forum specifically designed for the public adulation of the aforementioned knife company and person. :D

Gentlemen, lets give this a chance. The thread is in the General Knife Discussion, and some of you are assuming it is bound for Whine & Cheese. You can get infractions here before it goes anywhere. If it goes anywhere.

New member. Not familiar with BF's history with Strider. There is no restriction on other members posting pictures of Striders, sales on Striders, or opinions on Striders. Why welcome him like this?

Echoing what Esav said I jumped on monkeyman666 pretty hard as I was convinced he was a returning troll or a troublemaker. My assumptions were incorrect.

monkeyman666 your infraction has been reversed and this thread is open again but I would recommend you do some research using the search function as this is without a doubt a "hot button" topic here.

"The best in the world".

Seems to me the person making that statement must have a lot of experience having handled every knife from every maker.

Or they have brought into some hype that may not be very accurate at all.

I dont see how could 150bucks quality knives but actually sold at 425$ be the best knives in the world

..............Great............mantis militia with more money to spend......................... "I support Mick Strider" okay? and? I support the use of nutella in foreplay. That doesnt make a difference. You already made a post about this and it got locked. Why do it again?

Nutella in foreplay? Got a link? Sounds good and I would support that!

Geez, not even a single picture. I was thinking maybe I'd get at least a review, not just a generalized opinion with nothing to back it up.

This would be a lot better with more content...

That's because Mall Ninja's that can afford Striders just keep them in a drawer, the ones they use are from Cold Steel !

for that price you can get a Zero Tolerance or a CRK. I highly suggest you look into that. Try trading your strider for one. The lack of blade play in them make them feel a lot better

OP, you are free to support Mr. Strider if you want to, but 'his knives are the best in the world'? I think even when you confine your discussion to US knife companies you have some serious (and no less qualified) contestants, let alone in the whole world.

A blank broad-sweep statement such as yours had better be backed up by some hard evidence if you really want a meaningful discussion... About Mr. Strider's knives, that is. As someone earlier pointed out in the link he provided to you, there had been full and thorough discussions about Mr. Strider's character, we don't need this again.

Striders are not my cup of tea, and may be the best thing since sliced bread but I would have a real hard time trusting a man that would lie about his past to keep his word and stand behind his product. If you judge a man by his actions IMHO "Mr. Strider" leaves a lot to desire in the "honest businessman" department. There are too many honest businesses and makers out there for me to give Strider one red cent of the money I have earned.

I am dying to hear what monkeyman666 thinks separates Strider knives from any other mid tech knives, production knives even.

Perhaps a well reasoned explanation on how well they cut, how tight their tolerances are, quality of heat treatment, overall construction, and if he wants to elucidate for us, exactly the qualities that he looks for in his preferred knives and knife companies.

Yeah, Strider knives can't even best their Chinese knockoffs for quality, much less respectable American knife companies. But regardless of how much of a ripoff this particular company is, it's just common sense that starting a thread like that adds nothing of value to the forum.
