I think I lost my Spyderco Chap 😔😭

I’ll try to keep this short (yeah right ). My mother in law sold her house last week, and I got suckered into working on the deck (basically replacing the steps with a wheelchair ramp, and replacing any warped/weather cracked boards.)

So I brought over my tools, drop cords, and a couple knives (an Izula II and a Spyderco Chap) for light duty, as well as my LM ST300.

When gathering my tools when I was done I noticed the Chap was no where to be found. I looked late into the night and it’s not turning up. I’m not a patient man, so I went home last night and ordered an orange Mini Bugout…just because.

Am I jumping the gun? Because of my love of smaller folders, the mini Bugout is a model I’ve always been drawn to. I’m not giving up, but my gut tells me my beloved Chap is gone. I’m going to head over a little later to see if it turns up, but like I said, I feel it’s gone forever

This will be my first new Benchmade in a couple years and I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Its so awful to lose a knife, I've only lost one, a Native 5 Salt, but man its the worst feeling when you realize it.

When you loose a knife, I've lost two, you're obligated to re-purchase the exact same model you lost, as well as a few new models to help cope with the pain and suffering.

It's a Knife-Life rule.

Even if you didn’t lose your knife, I think you should still buy a new one. More knives = more fun.

After I get my oldest married in October I’ll be able to throw more money at this hobby. Weddings aren’t cheap and it’s ate up my knife budget this year.

Honestly, ordering a new knife is the best way to find a lost knife! You know it'll turn up as soon as the new one's in hand!

MIL may be the usual suspect yeah you'vegot a good excuse to buy two: one exact model to replace the lost anda mini bugout to heal your emotional damage

I’ve spent the last couple hours looking all the usual places, and even some unusual places, and no such luck. I even called a buddy with a metal detector and we STILL can’t find it.
