I think I lost my Spyderco Chap 😔😭

a CR2.5 sounds like a good one to add to the mix...
and wait... I think they're coming out with a CR3.0 in S35VN... so you better get one of those, too...
 
I've used that excuse with my wife also. 😁 I'm running out of excuses.
Never fun losing a favorite knife.

Possible it may have dropped getting in/out of a vehicle? Check around/under seats and consoles?

I used it to sharpen a pencil and to open a bucket of screws, so I know it made it to the back yard with me, but never made it back to the vehicle.

I’m just gonna tell myself it’s gone forever and look forward to the Mini Bugout I have coming. I figure the more I freak out, the less likely it is to be found.

It’s the izula that made it home fine. I have three of them so I wouldn’t be near as irritated if that’s the one I lost.

I lost my Kabar/Dozier folder. This one, and it's a favorite. Looked and looked in all the usual and even most of the unusual places. No luck. So I ordered three. One replacement, one spare and one to gift. Before they got here, I was walking out to the garden, looked down and there it was. A near miracle to just see this thing with it's subdued colors in pretty thick grass. So you're correct again.

Man, my CF Chap is my go-to small folder... I would be most displeased if I lost it.

Hope you enjoy your Bugout AND find the knife.

I haven’t lol, but one thing that has crossed my mind is her little foo-foo dog. I always close a folder after use, but I’m afraid I sat it down within his reach and he took off with it when I wasn’t looking. He’s not usually mischievous, but it’s the only thing that makes sense.

It’s a large fenced in yard, so if he is responsible for the thievery, he couldn’t have gotten too far with it. If I have time tomorrow I’m going to go back over and cover every inch of the lawn. He doesn’t dig, so it I’m not afraid he buried it.
 
The cf chap should still be available. Buying a direct replacement is the guarantee to find your lost knife.

I have a chap lw and cf. The lw is always in my pocket.

I lost a Benchmade Valet, but I know where it is. In my wife's pack. I've tried getting it back, but with no luck. But it does give me an excuse for trying to find a replacement.




Btw, the orange handle is probably a good idea. My guess is the cf chap is in plane site. Just get there before the lawn is mowed.

Between having 2 daughters in college, a niece and nephew in college, and my wife, I feel your pain. I’m a bit of a softie so I can’t bring myself to say no or suggest something else. As much as it pains me, if they ask for one of my knives, it’s theirs.
