After nearly 10 years of chasing INFI I have come to realize that the chase is most of the fun. I've been through maybe 50 or so Busse & kin blades. Kept a few, traded or sold most !!

I don't have the thirst anymore !!

What the hell is wrong with me ?
 
Wish I could say that... ;)
...Although my thirst is not as it once was. Still get excited over new offerings and the few Custom Shop pieces that always get my heart racing...but I don't scour the X like I once did, or regret missing out on the occasional piece when I do check there.

I think that once one goes through the opening stages of INFIddiction, it gets...cyclical. :D

...Am thirsting over what will Jerry will bring out at BLADE, however! Surely something there will get me as "thirsty" as ever... ;):thumbup:
 
I don't know man, I can't believe I am saying this but Jerry needs to bring something innovative out and I'm not talking milling a handle tang to reduce weight and putting some rubber cushioning in place. Don't get me wrong I love Busse knives but we need to see something new !!

so what are the ones you couldnt bring yourself to let go?? i actually cant wait for my infi addiction to calm down, its gettin hard to pull hundereds of dollars out of thin air :)

I also agree with Brendan that the thrill of the chase is a BIG part of the fun!!!
I don't however like waiting for the mail service, whether it's Canada Post or USPS!!!

Well, what was the hardest piece of INFI you ever looked for and got? Maybe you are looking for the easy stuff to get, anyone can get coated production knife, every try to actually get something hard? Here something impossible to get, try getting any limited edtion knife with the #27. If that's not a challange, I don't know what is :D

Hardest from what I can recall were:

1 of 7 Recurve NO-e
Large BARF
1 of 300 SHBM
Desert MOFO
Desert Anorexic Badger Attack
Thin NICK


numbered blades and blades with a blade logo for that matter don't do it for me !! Same knife with a few little numbers and you add $$$$$ - silly !!

I'm thinking you didn't try to get them, you just got them when you saw them. How about you try for something hard to get. Here are some nice ones you can try for:
Lean Mean Street
Off Duty
Bad Apple
Silient Knight
Swoopmaster's Dragon's Fang
MOAB with Mammoth Tooth
Jaxx's Sarsquash
SHBM LE
Jerry's Seahorse
Megladon Ax

The SHBM I tried for, the rest were not too hard

Neither of those on your list really do it for me - I'm sick I'm telling ya !!
 
Actually, I'm cured too. Now I find myself mysteriously drawn to some of the Dark Ops offerings!!!

I will never be cured but my money's flowing to some firearm projects right now.
 
I tend to toggle back and forth between Busse fixed and folders. Kinda on a folder kick right now w/one eye looking out for a SHBA re-release or similar.
