I think our cats are hunters...

I say, turn abouts fair play!!! I lost a cat to a damn OWL:mad:. If a cat kills to eat, so be it. I have seen more dogs kill to eat then any cat.

Well sir, I think you should go to jail for that. After all, you upset the wildlife balance by providing an Owl that surly would have died with enough food to survive.

I had a friend who was passing by this old lady's house and she was yelling up a tree. He asked what was going on and she said that her cat was stuck up in the tree. She had called the police but they were taking forever. Anyway he decided to save the cat and was able to get up the tree and get it. When he came down she explained that the cat was always doing this and she was getting to old for it. At about that time the police arrived. My buddy told her he'd buy it off her and how much did she want. She said 50 bucks and he paid her. The cops then cuffed the old lady and took her to jail for selling pussy.

true story-

my wife actually saw a battle between 2 cats (know outdoor pets, but good hunters in our very "woodsy" neighborhood) in the middle of a battle with a red tailed hawk.

she turned the corner in her suv and the three were duking it out right in the middle of the road. she stopped the car and watched them for almost a minute. the cats were lunging and swatting, the hawk was flapping and clawing. she couldn't tell what they were fighting over ( not sure if the hawk wanted to eat a cat, or if they were all going for the same field mouse, or what.) she just said it was a draw. foolishly she eased forward and spooked the all off.

wish i could have caught that one on video!

Over the last couple of days, I found two small squirrel tails in our backyard. The only thing I can figure is that our cats caught and ate them, and found that the tails weren't that tasty. I found the first tail on Friday or Saturday, and he second one just now.

Thats how Tony G is with INFI:eek:... Just look at his avatar :D:D

I used to have a cat that would catch squirrels, mice, birds... and bring 'em in the house and let 'em go and try to catch 'em again.

When we go out he even protects our eyes.

This one followed my son home one day when she was a kitten and this picture of her when she was 15 years old shows a cat that sleeps with one eye open. She is a real mouser but she doesn't want anything to do with 'possums! This is Chainsaw, she had to be put down when she was 17 because she was blind and deaf and was just bound for a bad end but if you had tried to put those sunglasses on her you would have been bleeding! She loved a tasty songbird!

Every prey animal eaten by a cat, is one less food source for the natural predators to eat. Outside cats up-set the balance.

My black lab vs. domesticated feline = Darwinism. Balance of nature is now reestablished. Need I say more?
