Well we dodged a small snow prediction yesterday. Out here on the North Fork they said we might see 2 to 4 , more white stuff. It stayed offshore ,and it was just cold & VERY windy .
The winds calmed down today.

I have all kinds of knife related projects going on,all the time. But as I was preparing some chicken for my dogs , I could not help to think, about the knife guys ,like myself who like to prepare meals...etc.
I can't see how a knife guy ,could not be interested in having some decent cutlery in the kitchen. Anyhow as I type I'm not sure exactly how to word this.
On my website I have a few sections, labeled "VCM Galleries" There are examples of knives I do using production blades. I'd like to invite the moderators of this sub forum to contact me , if they'd like ,to order a knife ,on the house, with a handle of choice. There are carbon and ss,and kitchen & field types too. I will deliver before the end of the summer. I'll do it quick but I use that timing as a safety net.

Now for the forum peeps, I have a Santoku here :

>>>>This one is going to ALLHSS

And a smaller knife, that could be a cook's utility or , make a good anything knife:

>>>This one is going to eshwebach

Those are available ,just post with something ,I always seem to figure out a way to choose a winner . All member levels & I ship all over the Planet.

This set here I did with killer maple,it is now used,as I needed to test this stuff, carbon boning knife , now patina'd and scratched . Look at the matching handles .Santoku used, and these are GREAT kitchen knives. Someone will get this too

I forgot to say. I appreciate ALL who help/ed :) me,past present & future.

My wife is looking for a santoku and always wants a general kitchen knife. A long time ago I got a green river blade in a similar shape from Dixie Gun Works in Dyersburg, TN and some brass pins. Since I worked in a pipe fab shop I put some ebony scales on it. She has used it as a gardening blade most of its life. Time for a new set of kitchen knives! This July 27th will be our 40th. They would make a great start for those gifts I'll need. Thanks for the opportunity! Love that maple.

What an original and generous idea thanks!

I'd be really pleased to win that smaller utility, i like food prep but for some odd reason I don't have any good kitchen knives (the money all goes on the pocket type!)

Much appreciated, Will

Thanks for your generosity. Babyback ribs on the smoker are my specialty.

I might deserve a little appreciation, but not to the level of those knives.

Wife, on the hand, poor thing, married to me and stuck with old dull Camillus knives... SHE deserves that much appreciation.

Since I forgot to buy her anything for Valentine's Day this year, please accept this as an entry on behalf of Wife. :love_heart:

For an extra bit of GAW luck, here's a random knife picture:

Thoughts of Spring are certainly welcome, maybe it will melt the snow outside my door before I head out to see the Doc ;)

Thanks for the chance and nice work on both of those! I'm sure they would be a welcome addition into anyone's kitchen!

and now, a blast from the past;

This is a nice idea, lovely work too :) I love to cook, please count me in

Here's my grandaughter in Ninja training (as I've just uploaded the pics!) :D

Not an entry, as I have too many kitchen knives, but thanks for your generous GAW.
I have a couple each of those Green Rivers. There aren't many blade profiles any prettier than that GR boning knife.
Your handles are a lot nicer than mine, though.

I hope your right about spring looking outside today I have to wonder if it will ever come. The one thing I do not have is any decent kitchen cutlery. So if I may would love to be part of this giveaway Thanks for the chance.

Thanks for the chance, it is much appreciated. Plan on grilling a lot this summer. Not just steaks and chops and chicken, but grilled veggies too.

Wow, those are some beautiful looking knives. I checked out your website last night, but I never saw those. My love of kitchen knives sparked my interest in folders. Thanks for the generous GAW, I would like to be included if possible.

Thanks for the generous GAW.
Both my Wife & I do a lot of cutting in the kitchen and I am constant cahoots with her for not keeping the kitchen cutlery as sharp as my pocket knives. Problem is that the steel on most of them is sub-par. I've been eyeballing individual customs here on the forum lately.

Vince,
thank you for your generosity, for your contribution to this forum, and for distributing sharp happiness in the form of custom knives :)
I like to carry knives around, but the place where I use more knives is my kitchen, and since I like cooking quite much (geographical and genetic factors involved), I'd like to be included (I've drooled over the kitchen knives section of your website more than once ). And yes, I will post a picture here when I can :)

I'll put in an entry. I have one good kitchen knife that my wife just won't use. It's a Shun Onion 8" Chef's knife. She pulls out this big ol' long slicer we got in our Wal-Mart special knife block wedding gift nearly 20 years ago. That Green River knife would make her happy.

To the Moderators, I hope you take VCM up on his offer of a knife. You guys keep this place the most pleasant place to visit on Bladeforums, or even the Whole Internet!

Thanks, VCM, and All the Moderators!

Those look like great knives! Thanks for the opportunity! I love the wood handles.

I do a fair amount of cooking and have just recently thought about having nice knives in the kitchen. Our best knives we have now are 3pc set of Rachel Ray knives with some rubbery orange handles...they're not bad knives. The rest are plastic handled steak knives my wife had before we were married.

Just because pics are fun, here's my constant companion in the kitchen. She's getting old and has cancer now but she's always nearby if there's a possibilty of food hitting the floor. :) She always enjoys my cooking, even if no one else does!

I grew up in Dyersburg, TN!!! Congrats on your 40th!

Thanks, Vince, I'd be happy to take a chance. No good kitchen knives here, either, and those are beauties!

And here's a nice photo to dress up my post.

I starting cooking at the age of 12! It's been a passion ever since. I know the benefit of good knives in the kitchen, just don't have any super quality blades! The last few years I've been trying to teach my 2 daughters to have a love for the kitchen! 2 knives . . . 2 daughters! 😉
