I think Spring is coming >>Appreciation G-A

Hey Vince, thanks for the chance to snag any of your knives. You have always done good work with those kitchen knife blanks and I'd love to give one a spin. My trusty Vic/Forschner chef's knife is pretty heavily abused and it'd be nice to get some real quality pieces there in the kitchen. Thanks!

I've got a few good turns I need to pass on already, so I'm going to sit on the side for this one. Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the generous give away!! I'll have to contact you about one later in the summer about one of these, I think my mother and my father would really enjoy one. :) I also wanted to point out you had the Rockwell Hardness marked as 68 to 59. :)

It is snowing out right now here in MN, but it is supposed to be 50 deg F on Sunday so there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I would love a chance at the smaller utility knife. Thank you for the generous GAW and for your work in bringing us some of the best custom knives out there.

Gratuitous Pic...

That's a seriously generous give away, Vince. I'll be nosing around your site for sure. Thanks for all you do for BladeForums and this sub-forum.

Great give away, Vince!!! Thanks for all you do here!

I need that Santuko to go with this knife for those larger kitchen chores:

I wanted to thank you for your generosity, Vince!

I recently acquired a nice kitchen knife. I was driving down the road in my neighborhood with my sweetheart and she yells out, "there is a big knife in the road!!!." I look over at her with "the look"...your real funny honey. She looks at me and says, "I'm serious....stop". She dives out of the car and hops back in with a super nice J.A. Henckels kitchen knife. She's a keeper and the knife is too!!

Just thought you all would get a kick out of the story. Not an entry

I could always use a good kitchen knife....then I could stop using my EDC in the kitchen
Beautiful knives & thanks for the chance !

Thanks so much for the chance, those are some beautiful knives. In the last 5 years I've developed a strong interest in cooking. To the point that I do nearly all of the cooking for myself and my wife. Interesting to note that I don't have any quality kitchen knives, although the ones I do have are sharp. My kitchen companion at all times is my 1 year old Vizsla, Tracer Bullet (TB), shown here with his new bone. Dropped food never hits the floor at our house.

Kitchen knives are something I've yet to get into too much. I've gotten knives for my mom but have yet to get something nice for myself. Thanks for the chance Vince!!

Spring?! Oh, yes please.

Here's this morning's view of a real-life Furby who is keen on kitchen-cut chicken:

Thank you Vince as always cool GAW. I am certainly in, it my favorite knife shape for cooking.
Here is my cooking knives drawer, the first from the right is custom made in Japan (Watanabe knives) the third and fifth are custom made by my friend a local knife maker (TC Blades)

Super GAW! I wouldn't know what to do with kitchen knives that fine. Not an entry.

I know Spring is here when I see the first tomato in the garden:

Not very impressive now, but with luck and care soon I'll be in need of a nice sharp slicing knife:

Wow what a generous giveaway and some fantastic pictures posted in this thread you guys are very creative. Picture taking is something I wish I had an eye for. :) My selection of kitchen knives is poor to say the least and something I've recently started looking at improving on. Wow - great Give-away Vince.

Now just in case anyone wants to know what Vinces Kitchen knives are like? - They are just Awesome, I have a Russell utility knife - the smaller of the knives that Vince is gifting - and its a fantastic knife-Sue and I both like using it, I also have a Ebony Handled Carver that is always kept in its Sheath in the Kitchen Drawer - Love it - taken on a beautiful Patina - sharp as hang!!
I have the wee Patch knives as well-always in use in my Garden, heck of a give-away Vince, and good luck everyone!!

I'm not much of a cook, but my wife is happy to let me help with food prep. I do lots of chopping, slicing and dicing - and eating. Thanks for the chance!
