I don't know what Ethan and Kabar has planned next for the Bk&t line, but I think that another knife in .25" would be something everyone would love. I am thinking something like the bk7 or the bk9. Something to compete with all of those .25" Busse combat blades and such. I mean, there really isn't much difference. you are getting 1095 cro-van! For less than $100! Most of those Busses are 1095 too, and I think something of medium to large size would be awesome. Even if it had a price increase.

Supreme overkill I'm thinking... At .25 it wouldn't chop as well as it does unless you're talking HIGH or even Full Flat grind. Also, I doubt that the 9 in .25 would be less than $100. It is a LOT more steel, and the price on .25 thick is a lot higher than the current thickness. Not to mention the weight is going to be a LOT higher. Honestly, I don't think they are going to do any .25 except for the 2. It has it's niche, the rest of them do to.

I think a bk9 in .25" would be cool, but if i wanted something similar id just grab the ontario rd9. But i have the sp8 and its 10" at .25" thick and it doesnt chop as good as the bk9. now it batons better but thats all i use it for now. its my go to batoneer but the bk9 is a go to chopper

On another note your bk2 will be there monday.

Busse uses infi, not 1095.

This would cost way more and for what? Who is breaking 3/16” 1095cv knives?

I imagine Ka-Bar would look at it across their whole line of knives, a large .25" would have to compete with the potbelly. You kind of have to wonder if one of the reasons they are resistant to releasing a Reinhardt Khukri is because of the direct competition it would have with the Ka-Bar #1249 Khukri. We all like the Becker line, but would a .25" BK9 really be superior to the potbelly to the general knife buying public?

Does Ka-Bar regard the Becker line as complimentary to its other knives? (Probably.) Do they make a business decision based on how sales of a new Becker would cannibalize sales of their existing line? (In today's economy... quite likely???) A lot of "good idea" products never come to market because the business case isn't justified by the manufacturers.

I'd like to see Ethan design a bush cutlass. In .25", that would be like a 9 ring kung fu sword or something. SMITE!

Becker Bushsword, 14 inch blade drop point 1/4 inch thick high sabre ground with a convex edge, slightly upswept edge and tip, with a distal taper to lighten it. In Crovan of course.

I'd love to see a .25" FFG becker. I can't wait to see what ever it is Moose is talking about. But he's messed up on painkillers and whiskey so he's probably out of it.

I'd be interested in a .25" BK4 Machax. I love the current one but it almost seems too light.

Just like me without the painkillers!

On a more serious note, I'd like to see another knife with a 1/4th inch. Part of the reason I'm getting the 2 is for the .25.

On a more drunken note, I'd like to see a knife with a full inch spine.

just my two cents, but i would love a bk9 in .25,chopping with that extra weight would be great, plus batoning,we all know the bk2 batons great because of its thickness, but its lenght is a drawback when batoning big chunks of wood,i would love a bk9 in .25,would be great competition to busse and all those thick choppers out there!

I'd love to see another Becker in .25", something with some length, the 2 is too short in my opinion. I really like the 3, but what I would really like is 8" long, full flat or full convex with a flat nose, no point (like the 3), no 'hook', no serrations, or just a few serrations, close to the handle, like the 3. It would be an awesome chopper (and batoner) for its length, and it's length would lend itself to fitting in an average size shoulder bag.

Kinda sounds like I like the 3, doesn't it? I guess I do, but think the above changes would make it really sweet.

I would buy another .25 inch becker. I like quarter inch blades for certain things. Always nice to have the option to have that thick of a blade even if i mite not use it all the time.
