I Think the Becker line should have another .25'' addition

If I had to guess... I think this is the BK1 with refined bevels. There was some talk about re-releasing it, but then also some debate about it not chopping well.

I read that the BK1 would be just too expensive to produce with all the grinds it has. And I saw a Gavkoo video where he says the BK1 doesn't chop as well as the 9 or 4. If they did a Brute 2.0 that was FFG it should work better.

There was also mention of the RBK making a comeback. Not sure what the specks on those are, I would think .25" would be a bit thick but I think the Ontario Kukri is .25 and the reviews for that are pretty good.

Maybe it'll be totally new. Lets speculate on what crazy cool sharp thing it could be.

The reason the BK1 probably isn't that great of a chopper compared to the 9 is because of the thick grind at the curve. There is a 1/4 thick portion towards the tip of the blade, right above the belly of the blade.

The sweet spot should be this belly, but the grind looks thicker there. That 1/4" portion does have a purpose. It is to add weight and more chopping power, but if the grind is thick right under it, there will be too much resistance.

From what I read, all Beckers under Ka-Bar have gone through some slight changes, so that is why I was guessing they'd thin out the grind a bit.

Wasn't there talk at one time of doing a longer version of the BK2?
7" blade or some such?
I'd buy that one with a quickness!

Sorry, I don't have a link.
I can't remember when it was talked about. I just recall it being mentioned a few years back.
