I think the ZT 0888 Max is about to ship - the 0454 is also about to ship

Is it bullying to point out that you're one of the flippers that ZT had to change their policies to thwart? This community generally disapproves of people who exhibit a pattern of behavior (i.e. buying up limited edition knives in quantity expressly for the purpose of holding up those that didn't manage to get one ordered in the brief window of time that was possible). Are you really this surprised that folks are offended by it?

Exact approach that Hinderer takes, and it seems to function wonderfully for them... Exclusive to their website, it prevent gauging like what secondary sellers like to do. This step just proves once again that Kai is maturing and taking over the market where pricing couldn't be controlled by secondary sellers. No more wait lists, no more "ins" and equal chance to all. Does this limit my ability to purchase them? Yes, but I will not complain about equality and fairness to everyone. Turbo we all know your motives and many others as well, but the run is over so either quit complaining or chase the rabbit farther down the hole like the rest of us.

I thought Hinderer did direct sales to mil/LE and left ordinary buyers out of the picture. I can see how that policy has helped a bit, but there are still plenty of people flipping Hinderers for a gain.

They do flash sales about once a month to every day ppl, and I think they deal with monkey edge, but it seems all in house

I say a quarter will still be flipped. But atleast one person will have trouble getting five of them. Everyone has an equal opportunity. Obviously not everyone will get one. And there will be ppl who only want to flip it ...will get one. That you'll never be able to stop. Will sell out in under 30 seconds..no doubt! And website will be slow and or crash. It's gonna super hard to snag one. A little luck will be needed IMO.

I just don't know if this knife is worth $500 bucks to me?I like the knife, but at that price I am not feeling it.I paid much less for the other LE ZT models that I own.I have never sold a ZT LE knife that I own and they are some of the nicest production models that I have ever owned........ but............There seem to be many other knifes that I would rather own in this price range and $500 is past my bailing point. I am bailing out and parachuting back to solid ground for this one..It sure looks like a nice knife and I have been following it since it was announced. I ponder how many that acquire this knife have the intention of actually using it.I guess I won't be acquiring any more LE ZT's with the new direct sales model and MSRP pricing at this point in time.I feel there are ethical issues with those who purchase this type of knife with the sole intention and purpose of flipping it for a quick buck.I guess a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch....Good luck to everyone that wants one.....

There's nothing wrong with flipping knives. Just like there's nothing wrong with manufacturers restricting their product, marking up their product, and creating artificial demand spikes. There's also nothing wrong with companies trying to cut costs and stomping on suppliers & labor so you can have cheap produce and electronics. I feel like people take flipping too seriously. So someone has the opportunity to make a little money because they have a product that's in high demand and low supply. How is that different from anything everyone else does? Why is a flipper any more at fault than KAI, for instance?

Can we just focus on the knives instead of all this price inflation? Flippers will keep flipping and enthusiasts will always be on the losing side if they need to scratch that itch on the secondary market. It's pointless going back and forth, here on BF there's just too much debate with no real outcome.

Anybody else excited for the 0454 like I am? Can't wait!!!!

I think it will be more than that..4 are showing sold on the Bay and 2 more are currently active auctions, 1 is currently up for sale in the exchange and I think one sold on the Exchange awhile back during BS..that's 8 out of the 10 sold at BS that were flipped off..

You're right about never stopping flipping: As long as auction sites exist on the web(mainly Ebay)then flipping will continue..

I know why ZT went to this new setup but they also took away the option of searching around to see if one could be bought at a price less than MSRP so this one will be outta my price league..

Its a cool knife though and should make for excellent pics..

I think they did a lottery at both The Gathering and Blade. Should be closer to 20 out there, if not more assuming some of the European vendors already sold a few.
