i thought camillus was gone?

The three in our city carry assault rifles (had several in stock before the buying spree) but never seen a spyderco in there. :( Just buck, kershaw, gerber, and random low ends.
Your local Walmart carries vintage select fire rifles ? Wow!!! I would never expect this because they don't usually carry multi thousand dollar items, and because most people who shop at Walmart can't afford the 20.000$+ tax stamp.
I guess Walmart does carry just about everything.

I have C&H sugar, organic flour, free range eggs and Ghirardelli chocolate chips here....

But you wouldn't want to eat any of my cookies.

Sure, the ingredients are important... but the Chef is the difference.

Camillus USA and this new rendition of Camillus China are two completely different fruits.

But if you buy the knife you mentioned, and happen to like it... well then who are we to judge? You go ahead and enjoy it.

He may mean black semi-automatic rifles. After all, that's what the MSM constantly call "assault rifles." In fact, I'll bet that's what you think he means.

As for "vintage," that is a word with no meaning except what you think it means. ePrey sells "vintage" knives made last year.

Our local WMs carry no firearms whatsoever. I suppose we're lucky they sell ammunition. Oh, sorry, bullets.

:poop:Man, I should've realized that's probably what he meant. I guess I should start assuming everyone is wrong when it comes to firearms:D
As for the vintage thing I was referring to legally transferable " machine guns " having to be made before a certain date , so they'd have to be " vintage " ( not sure assault rifles have been around long enough for any to qualify as antique "

The USA factory closed in 2007.

Acme United bought Camillus' brand names and intellectual property (designs, patents, and trademarks) for $200,000 in a bankruptcy auction, not the company. ''

Not the same Camillus as yesteryear.

I believe Acme owns DMT now too (the diamond bench stones).

So, yeah, Acme bought the Camillus trademark and they use it. Their knives are made in China last I checked.

"In 1986, Congress enacted a much stricter law, banning the possession and transfer of all machine guns except machine guns manufactured prior to May 19, 1986."

So you can buy an FAL, HK93, M16, AK47, FN MAG/M240 - what more do you want? :D

Just so you know it; Camillus is now offering USA made knives too. Just Google Camillus USA and you can see them.

Joe

They told me last year at the Blade Show that they were working on some US production.

Added: Well, I googled "Camillus USA" and every knife I looked at was made in China. Somebody is going to have to show me some US made Camillus knives.

Didn't look at fixed blades as I didn't have a smidgen of interest. Tactical survival knives..... guess they'll sell. I wonder who is making them?

I kind of assumed if Camillus is having fixed blades made in the US, they would probably be along the line of many of the Kabars. Hopefully, as time goes on, the lineup will be expanded or maybe it already has been.

So in other words, you stand corrected?
