I thought I'd introduce myself

In most forums I'd tell you to hang onto your wallet, but here you might actually save some money.

On second thought, reading here cost me about $150.00 in the last 2 days on new toys.

So, hang onto your wallet!

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you'll fit right in!

Welcome aboard... Prepare to be treated well and learn a mess of stuff. I suspect that you will be spending more cash too!

Welcome! I have learned so much from this forum, hopefully I can pass some of that knowledge on to you.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I'm more than a bit concerned about the possibility of dropping a bunch of cash on some knives and gear, but I've been living simply for the past few years that I think I can hold off for a little while. I've been Mr. Mom for my 2 year old and now I'm back at work. It was great spending time with my son each day, choosing a new trail or park to explore. He got to know several different kinds of birds and flowers and loves hiking up "mountains" which are often no more than a wooded hill. He also has a plastic Fisher Price SAK that he loves to carry around and "cut wood." Amazing how the little critters take up your interests if you present them with a bit of wonder and amazement.

Welcome like mind. Kick your shoes off and set a spell.

When I was about 4 or 5 yo, my Dad took a pop rivet and riveted two pieces of scrap aluminum. They hinged open and closed, which was kinda like a knife, which made me feel all tough and bad cuz I had a knife. Dad was THE MAN, and a knife lover was born that day. Nothing much has changed since that day, except the knives have gotten more expensive.
