I unblemed my blem 0551, NOW with NEW scale and STERILE! pg2

I dig it, makes the whole knife look "meaner".

How was it doing a stock removal mod on Elmax? is it slow going, or average?

man clich that looks good, i may have to get me a blem to start trying to modify.

Nice clean work on that! Unlike most home-made choils, this one looks natural and is not way too deep.

Thanks guys. Ill be putting up some better pics shortly. Like better lighting and not the "mood" lighting I have in my house.

more pics to come tomorrow when i get my OD scale

I personaly like the factory ZT clip, not fond of low ride clips

I don't think they make a low ride clip for the 551, i think the holes are too close together. I believe all it does is perhaps lower it just a few mm down.

After the choil work...just get a 0560 clip and drill and tap the knife and install that. (its obvious you have the skills...:D)

(Yes, I have since drilled and tapped the other screw hole...I'll post the pic when I find it)

I dont know why i never got one of these knives. Iv got my 560 and now im wishing i would have just got one of these. And now i have do do this mod and get a hinderer scale. Crap.

Thanks guys. Here's more pics. No scale in the mail today but ill update as soon as it arrives.

My 0551 (non-blem) has the same point. It appears the blem is hiding somewhere else...

in my quest to make it as hindererish i can, i now have added an OD signed hinderer scale, AND sterilized the blade by removing the gaudy ZT markings. Comments are criticism is always welcome since it makes me better in the end.
