Some people just BUY because they can- the thrill of being King of the Hill. They look kind of silly sitting up their all by themselves IMHO. If Tickle Me Elmos had a "cool factor", they would have a closet full.
It wears off for most, but they are replaced by others new to the sport, falling victim to the same affliction. The cycle then repeats.
Some however, are truly passionate about the knives and they are the ones who will help out a fella in need with minimal fanfare. There are enough of them around here that a fella will eventually get a shot at scoring what his heart desires.
If anyone takes offense at my post, I surely am not referring to you- why would you possibly think that???
