We tried to work up a deal. I had posted that I was looking for a particular knife. TC123 contacted me and said that he had found one, many miles away, and the place was a gunshop and did not ship. He offered to make the run for me, if I sent him the knife payment and a "few bucks for gas". I did that. I also sent him a custom knife I made, just as a thank you.
We chatted on the phone a couple of times. He made the trip and found out the shop had sold it. He ordered another and notified me of that. I was cool with it.
A few weeks went by and I pm'd him. The knife had gotted in and he had been working out of state and not had a chance to get it, and he did not know when he would be able to get it. I asked him to send me a MO to cover the knife cost. He had already made one trip, so the gas money was gone. He sent it. he was very concerned about his "rep". I told him to keep the custom knife I made.
I felt his actions were above and beyond anything anyone has ever offered me. He did not know me from anyone, but still OFFERED to take time and gas out of his life to help a stranger. He didn't ask for the custom knife, I sent it without his knowledge.
While our deal did not go through, trimcut123 is a stand up guy, willing to go out of his way to help a forum member. I will not hesitate to work a deal with him. He does some awesone tricking of Bradley Alias knives, and I am working to send mine to him for work.
Thanks trimcut123. Your "rep" is solid with me. I really appreciate the effort you put out. For all others, a failed deal does not an enemy make....
