I want a "Tactilol" Knife!

Why isn’t one of the best selling knives in the last 10 years ever in these threads?

This design always makes me wish you could assemble five of them into Awful Knife Voltron.

Ok, I guess I mean it makes them seem gimmicky or fad-ish. Dilutes what the brand is about (maybe) by making a "Zombie Cash Grab." All just my opinion obviously.

I can sort of see that point, and some folks will obviously feel that way.
On the other hand, if I were them I'd be grabbing all the cash I could, including from zombie fans. :)

Hmmm, maybe if I put out an edition of my books with toxic green covers... :D

lol stabman, when I read your stabman b&n overview, I can't help but think you and Uwe Boll https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uwe_Boll are somehow related. I know that is not fair, as I haven't read your book yet & Boll is a pretty polarizing figure. It's funny because I just watched his most recent movie, 'rampage: president down' on netflix... & it was just really bad.

Anyway, on to tactilol - how is this?

Haven't seen that one.
I did watch the first Rampage when it came on cable, and with his suit of armour, well, let's say I found it extremely familiar to a certain section in Stabman. ;)

Interestingly, his movie came out before I wrote the book, but I saw it years after the book was out; I guess when you're creating a character who will be facing certain threats, some of the same solutions come to mind.

It was not a great movie, but I liked it simply for the visual of that coming to life.
The helmet/mask was different, and he was way skinnier than Stabman was at that point in the book, but it was still similar enough that I though I might have been ripped off until I saw the date the movie came out. :D

The storyline is entirely different though...and of course my book has the better plotline. ;)

Here's a good reason to revive this thread:

Here we see the artist's brilliantly ironic protest against violence . Because you can only hurt yourself by grabbing that handle ! :rolleyes:o_O

Hahahaha those guys are a hoot over there.

I'm not usually one to mention this specific aspect about folding knives, but that blade to handle ratio looks "outstanding." Particularly in the bottom one...

They're certainly "unique", but generally speaking I don't like things being different simply for the sake of being different; to me, there has to be some sort of benefit to validate the "uniqueness" or failing that, it at least has to appeal to me personally aesthetically while still being a fully functional and well built tool that I can use to cut things. I can't speak to the build quality of these knives(?), but I don't see any benefits inherent in the design, nor does it look good in my personal opinion or do they appear to be at least as good of a tool functionally as any other knife that I own.

But that's just me.

I'm so happy to see this thread revive! Of course I figured there wasn't going to be anything revelatory, but even another green spattered thing would be fun. I was pleased as punch to see the thread reach new heights/depths with these gems. Ah, bless you all.

I wonder if those RMK knives actually function well mechanically. Like lockup solid, flick well etc. Thay would almost be funnier, if they were superbly built.

If that’s the case the guy needs to pay someone to design for him. FAST!
