I want a tanto

Most of my Cold Steels are folders - my first tanto from them acquired in trade, an XL Voyager. I really like it. Eventually got a Kobun,I bought a new sheath as soon as I got the 3V SRK so I could have a proper way to carry, even if the sheaths have been fixed, the leather looks nicer when out than the plastic. I hope they fixed the issue. I did not bother getting a new sheath for the Kobun because I don't intend to carry it around all that much, and I just keep it out and about for random use around the house or as a hold-out in a car or somewhere. I will be using this to help learn the proper sharpening of a tanto, too.

I would like to pit a CS tanto and a Janich Wharncliffe against each other and see which performs better.

I remembered this thread from before...

If you are still looking, Buck has its ground combat knife with tanto tip on sale in its web specials. I could not recommend it before because it was discontinued. They get snapped up very quickly, so act fast if you want one.

Cold Steel Master Tanto in San Mai or 3V is pretty good for the $$$. And if you tear it up it is easy to replace.

If the sheath problem has been fixed, then the Cold Steel Warcraft Tanto would be my recommendation. I bought one a few years ago and had to have a custom sheath made for it.

I initially got Recon Tanto and custom kydex sheath for it.

It was all good, but I traded it for D2 Leatherneck tanto and will get it leather Ka-Bar sheath now.

My friend had finger guard broke off of his Recon Tanto, so I realized Leatherneck is probably better option for that reason.
