I want to make a becker mix knife

Not sure if this has been done before but I wanted to see what a Becker Bk7, Bk5 and a Bk4 would look like mixed together. I drew up some sketches and thinking about having it made.

I'll go out on a limb and say any knife that you can imagine has probably been done before in one form or the other, maybe even in flint stone:) If you think about it the chords in music theory have never changed, so many songs are composed alike, sound the same but are yet different...:D

And they're are only 7 plots in literature, but it's the subtlety of character development that make them unique. Make you're knife. I'd love to see how it turns out!

I have NO idea what that would look like, and am very curious.
 
here is a rough copy of what I'm having made. I will post the finish product once I get it in my hands.

There was a BK9 blank ground down at the gathering held back east this year by MyWifeThinksImCrazy (I'm pretty sure at least) that looks a lot like your sketch. It had green handles. I'd look it up if I were you (I can't remember the name of thread off the top of my head).

ya, I had to google image search "mywifethinksimcrazy" it resembles a military kabar, it's a beast!!
 
I say go for it. There are quite a few of us that are pretty keen on custom made Becker bastard children.

Saw the choil and that answers where the 5 influence fits in.
 
are you making the knife yourself? what kind of steel will you be using?

AWESOME SAUCE!!!

Seriously sweet looking blade. One request, please sharpen the spine on the drop. The 3" up front would make this very stabby as well as choppy and maybe even slicey. I'm running out of adverbs so I'm gonna shut up now. :D

I'm having him round it off so I can batton with it, I thought about sharpening it, maybe I will have it sharpened

You can still baton with it if you only sharpen the tip, I think.
How thick is the blade going to be? Under 1/4" I hope.
