It's not going to be like that, he was simply showing me what it was gonna look like once finished. he's gonna work the other side as well. here is another picture of the concrete blade he is using to make my blade.untitled.png8.jpg I can't wait for this thing to be made. I just don't know what to call it? any ideas?
 
So here is the final product of my Becker BK mix... just to update people I had a friend make me a mix between a bk 7, bk 5, and a bk 4 with a longer recurve.

That is wild! I wasn't real interested in the concept, but the final product turned out nice.

Did he do the laser etching, too?
 
Congrats! It's always nice to get an idea from your head to paper to finished and ready to use!
 
Thanks guys! This blade is amazing, it chops well and is able to choke up on it for some fine work. I am still amazed on how it came out. It doesn't even feel like it's in your hand while swinging it. it has a solid bite.
 
Hey 710. I recall this thread when you first started it. But I just now realize you was the dude behind it. Its very interesting. I'm wondering, if your going to make the sheath for it. If so, id love to see that. Your work looks VERY nice. And are we going to get a full review of its performance? I have to be honest with you. It turned out better than I originally thought it would. Oh and thanks for the package. I received it wensday. Some cool stuff man!

hey Todd I wasn't planning on doing a review but now you have me thinking...."maybe a picture and video" I am defenatly gonna make a sheath for it, I am still designing it in my head.

That thing is sick! I think we need a testing video with some choppy and slicey and stabby and all that goodness.

I was thinking about cutting a BK7 down to something like a bk10 but after seeing this I might do it to a BK9 to get the fatter blade.
 
Pretty cool! It's odd looking, but then so is a BK4. I thought you were gonna lose your hand for a min though. Don't do that, I'll need a sheath soon after the gathering.

Ya feels good in the hand, the tree trunk was half dead or hard wood and the other half was soft, either way it was blowing chunks off of it. I was surprised how good this design came out! Turn out to be a great little all in one blade. 1st sub, like to borrow it?
