I will NEVER ship to a newbie first!

Michael-

I wouldn't hesitate one second to ship you anything I have on approval, based on your reputation, and I'm so sorry to hear that you ran into this kind of flak. I'm sure it will happen to me sooner or later.

Earlier this week I shipped a nice Zowada to a fellow I'd never heard of before, just based on how he presented himself by email. He was out of pocket and unreachable for a day or two, and I never heard for sure that he had sent payment, so naturally I began to wonder. Sure enough, on Thursday I got a notice from the post office that they had the envelope waiting for pick-up, and when I retrieved it found that he had paid for overnight express mail service--quite a step up from what I required, and significantly more expensive. Obviously, at that point I felt relieved, but also it made me feel very much in synch with the decision to trust him based on my gut in the first place. To me, what you may have lost--and what might be hardest to gain back--is that sense of trusting your gut when it tells you to. I very much regret that loss for you, as you seem to me to be a man who values those kinds of experiences as highly as I do.

I can only wish you much better trading days ahead.

Will

Will Thanks for the AWSOME suport and trust,Of course this would go the same for you!!!!! Although my experience with this person started on a good feeling then turned to disapointment, he did contact me this morning and in an effort to appologise for his lack of communication he offered me this trade item for nothing in return. He said " I want to apologise and send you my item for free.If you want to send me something so be it if not please keep my item as an apology." I of course did not except because it was a very expensive item and I would never do that but I must say he was very generous and he did try to make good.I cant say the end will always justify the means but in this case I am sure this Gentleman has learned a little and I'm happy it turned out that way!!!!
I will say again, you all are a large part of my life. For all of us to has this kind of trust between eachother with no real contact other than our words is a real proof that honor and integrity are real and living right here between us. Our trust goes much deeper than a knife or a watch, it goes for whatever we agree on.Think for a moment what our screen names real mean and what they say about ourselves. Your name represents Trust and Honesty no matter how you spell it!! Thanks to all of you!!!! Mike

It's so good to hear you still feel that way, and that the doubts you had about this trader turned out not to be "worst case".

I agree with your statement above implicitly.

Best to you,
Will

It is unfortunate that someone take advantage of the good nature that we have here. I personally have not dealt with masterchef but have had dealings with some others who have replied here. Your reuptation preceeds you. Only good things have I seen about you. Looking forward to an update. Keep us informed.

Cerberus Thanks for the kind words and support. After expressing myself this gentleman has gone WAY out of his way to make right.I not only received the item today but it was packed perfectly and in better condition than described.I will of course be taking care of my end of the deal and would have to say "HAPPYFUNBALL" will most likely become a very well liked member. He has no problem taking care of business like a real member!I will not have a problem dealing with Rob in the future. Thanks again to everyone! I will always be there for all of you the way you are for me! Mike

I hadn't seen this thread since I got back or I would have at least said something. At the risk of sounding like I'm making up excuses I ran into a few snags in real life that put me out of communication till the end of the month and had put someone else in charge of mailing. That said, it was MY problem and I made it Mike's problem and that was my bad. I should have made sure it was handled myself before I left. After I got back I told Mike the complete truth and let him name his own deal even if it was just a plate of pasta in trade :). Of course he's been awesome about it and his deal was more fair to me than he should have been. I want to apologise not only to Mike again but to all of you for sending the ripple through the groups. I done and leart my lesson, thanks again Mike...

I am glad that it worked out this way. Life does get in the way sometimes. Happyfunball, thanks for making it right and thanks for taking responsibility for your actions. It takes guts to do that, so in my book it shows you are of good character. We all make mistakes, I know I have, and sh!t happens. It is how we deal with them that defines our character.

BTW.........Welcome to the forums.
