So while reading thru this thing, I have concluded the following train of events leading to this thread -

DDR makes a knife and ships it thru another guy.

It's a handmade knife, made by one guy, takes a little time and then gets hung in customs somewhere.

Bumbaclot is unhappy about this and blames DDR for the knife taking more time than he'd like (not an uncommon issue with handmade knife guys), then the knife being hung up somewhere and even for DDR refunding the purchase??

It's hard to follow these things when folks delete their postings or fail to make them coherent. I just want to know what I'm supposed to get a full head of steam up over...

+2 for Darrel...why is this thread still open? DR obviously has a mile of fans and customers who couldn't care less about a couple of haters.

Spelled out in the thread that was closed before this one are the details that are kind of confusing (missing) in this thread if you want to search the GBU forum for it.
This all began over our idea for a new lock improvement. Who would have thunk it would have went down this road?
In retrospect, we will NEVER stop making improvements on our knives because of this or any other issue. No risk, no reward.

Many industry friends and customers have witnessed this rodeo.
I don't know how you all found this thread. I apologize for its seedy content.
Hopefully all of the demons who have exorcised their discontent in this public forum feel embarrassed by their rude ignorant public behavior.
Personally, We prefer to take care of issues like this like a civilized men do.... face to face or at least in a private written communication.
What is forgotten by many about a public forum is that your comments live FOREVER!
Tafari, we can understand frustration. We dealt with your issues in the best manner for the situation. One would hope that you would have taken the gesture of the extra 100.00 for your trouble and went about your way. You are totally free to voice your opinion but tiring to BURN DDR CUSTOM KNIVES DOWN was a bit over the top. The crime did not fit the punishment that you had in mind for us.
Please accept our apologies for your frustration once again.

I hope the supermods will shut this thread down now for good and let us all get back to work and do what we love.
Once again thanks to all who posted. It is great to see the expression of freedom of speech is alive.

Since the original poster dropped out of this thread and the only major issue was brought over from a different thread, and doesn't need any more air time, yes, time to close it down.
