I wish I had my rats dressed in black or dark grey G-10 instead of micarta, im really not a fan anymore, and I wish the izulas came with a a belt clip like the rc-3, it would be a way better edc knife then. No I dont like lashing paracord trough my belt.

What is it about micarta that you dislike as compared to G10? What turned you off to them?
I personally prefer canvas micarta over all other materials - it feels the most grippy. RC has my favorite canvas handles - I just love them. Would be great to get some canvas for my RC6 (I know I know I should get an RC5 and swap, but I sold my RC5...
)G10 is my least favorite as I find it the slickest.
My izula rides in my pocket so no clip for me.

Learn to make stuff from Kydex (belt clip) and G-10. Then you can mod your own RATs.

Its actually a boot clip, and not recommended for belt use.

though me and probably 98 percent fo the folks here are fans....your opinion is welcome and appreciated....now that you've stated your opinion may i politely suggest that you probably were not a fan to begin with and maybe rat's just are not for you.....necessity is the mother of invention.....maybe you could try to make a knife the way you want it since what is here is not for you.....good luck and best wishes
Actually my first post was last week and very very postive. I do not want orange.
Thats kinda funny cause the instructions have a dummy all dressed up
with the rc-3 attached to a belt, with an arrow pointing at it and it says boot clip..
I wear rc-3 IWB and it works like a charm and holds it tight to my body, wish the izula came with one thats all.

And yes I have been a fan of them and I do like them I own 3 with another
on the way so shows how much you know.

I really like canvas micarta over the G-10 personally. I like G-10 well enough, great material, just like canvas micarta a bit better.
There have been quite a few threads as of late with people wishing that this were that or those were this color.
Honestly, in my opinion, if you look at it like that, contact a custom knife maker who can give you exactly what your looking for or your never going to be satisfied with your blades.
I've done it. RAT cutlery is by far my favorite company, but I have a slew of custom knives that are made to my specs, exactly how I want them.
RAT cutlery is a production knife company in the business of putting out a good, working tool at a working mans price point. No mosaic pins, gold inlays or fancy scrollwork here. Just good quality tools.

If I read this correctly you are saying that you aren't really a fan of Micarta anymore, is that right? Not saying your not really a fan of RC. If thats the case...
It was, I read it and you were super excited and happy at that point. I liked your post cause you sounded a lot like I felt when i came over to RC from KaBar and such.
Lots of people are extremely happy with RC knives, just as they are. But many many of us have also said.."gee it would be great if my "insert RC product" came with "insert idea" so I could...." much the same as you are saying. This is impossible for RC to address, they simply can not build/change/modify each product into a thousand custom built items. This is where very talented people like Rayban (with his custom Izula scales and sheaths) and Shotgunner11 (with his custom sheaths) come into it. (And many more talented, skilled people on BF).
Your idea's and suggestions both good and bad are welcomed, but we are avid fans of the RC line, and we tend to defend the products fiercly. RC's customer service is second to none, and if it is a product defect, they will correct it. Constructive criticism is always welcomed, it makes the products better.
Anyways, if we lost you as a fan, I am sorry to hear that, because you were so excited about your purchase and future ones, and because I like your suggestions. I hope you'll talk to some of the folks, get a custom sheath and/or scales set up just the way you want it, and enjoy the Izula as much as the rest of us do.
