Yeah it's sad that it's come to this with automatic suspensions, etc. If I were you I'd just take in some good quality 8x11" pics of the knives for reference.
If you bring one in it'll likely cause (jealousy) problems with other kids saying "Well Sean bought one in so why can't I?" etc etc. You'll be opening up a whole can of worms with that! Sad but these are the times we live in.
 
I wouldn't even bring a picture.
If you cause a papercut they'll call it assault!

And for your essay, you should start it with "The 'X' dictionary defines a knife as..."
That automatically adds 5 points to your grade.
 
thank you everyone for your concern and warnings:) and my professor said dont start off with a definition thats what you do in jr. high and that grabs no ones attention so if i did that i'd get a fail:( thanks tho:) i thought my high school teachers were picky freakin college is like 100 time worse ha
oh and for the picture im bringing in a big panoramic photo:) and a bit of a side note i got my cousins H.E.S.T in the mail today and its amazing!
