On Saturday I was browsing some Bark River knives because I love them. Of course this particular very big store who will not be mentioned had a lot to choose from. As I scrolled down to page 5 I saw some Bravo Squad leaders 116 with different handle scales listed for 4 dollars...yes 4 bucks. Needless to say I put one of each in my cart thinking the price would correct itself, it didn't after shipping the 4 cost me 32 bucks! Feeling a bit convicted I contacted the company to see if my order was legit. The woman confirmed my order for 32 bucks. I told her that these knives should be more than 4 dollars, I don't think she fully understood what I was trying to convey. She thanked me for shopping with them. I returned to the store and purchased 8 more at 4 bucks a pop. Shortly after that they were "no longer available" Just in time to hand them out for Christmas! Unfortunatly for them someone had made a critical error in pricing the merchandise online.

Don't suppose I could convince you to part with one of those ?

Kudos for contacting the store to see if an error had been made. I don't think too many people would have done that. I hope I would have, but maybe not. Others would say you were crazy to contact them. I say "THAT WAS ONE CRAZY DEAL!!":thumbup:

Once you realized they really were selling for $4
you should have bought them all...

Great bargain find though....

Holy Crap, that's insane.

I get super excited when I find a deal that's like 50< dollars off but I would've cleaned them out at that price. Would've bought so many shipping would've been free lol.

Did you buy from the big store themselves, or a 3rd party seller?

They were fulfilled by knife country usa I believe? I suppose they aren't legit?

I figured the 3rd party thing was a risk, but I figured - If they are legit, I just made out like a bandit. if they aren't, I've got 2 knives I can beat the crap out of for $4 each.

I don't know if they're legit or not. I've never had any issues with that seller, but I know fakes do sometimes turn up through various 3rd party sellers. I once saw an "Emerson Commander" for $18, but I'm pretty sure Ernie had no hand in making that one, heh. But hey, for $4, you don't have much to lose regardless.

There was someone on the forum not long ago that bought a batch of knives at similar next to nothing prices then he was making up sob stories and trying to sell them for nearly retail price.

Let me guess, stepped titanium chaparral?
