I wonder what we will see in 2016?

I have to be honest. I can't stop going to these pics to check out this prototype. I haven't been this excited about an upcoming design for awhile. There are a few reasons that this one has my interest piqued so much.

1. Different handle colors
2. An awesome looking clip point blade
3. I've been disappointed ever since CS re-designed the Voyager series, because it took away a very light and slim EDC option from the market. This looks like it might be a great callback to that type of blade.

I just want them to ditch the reversible thumb studs and go to ambidextrous true dual thumb studs.

Bring back the LTC and make some in 3v ....
1909 US issue Bolo clone done in a sexy steel.
A production Barong would be nice too. Maybe 14 inch blade, done in a nice steel 3/16th ffg with the same shaped handle as the Barong machete, just in nicer material.

Now that knife is more like it!

I know we're still a month or more away from CS's 2016 product unveiling, but I'm having a hard time with the wait ever since these pictures dropped. The knife pictured looks like exactly the type to become my new primary EDC.

I want to see a Mini Code 4. I love my Code 4, but usually have to choose something else for work as having the Code 4 at the office would raise some eyebrows.

Have you considered pairing it with a smaller knife? I usually pair my PM2 (which is similar in size to the Code 4) with a Victorinox Cadet. A small little SAK is great for situations where your main blade may draw unwanted attention.

I never leave home without a my Super Tinker in pocket as well as whatever locking folder I'm carrying, but I prefer to have a locking folder that I feel comfortable getting out and using as needed for whatever situation I'm in.

They already have one. Mini Pendleton Hunter, full tang (choice of VG1 or 3V), sheath that converts to neck carry, and all.

Crap I meant to post this in "Cold steel products you want to see"

It does look intriguing. I hope it comes out with a stonewashed option. I am also hoping that they will eventually come out with an ~ 4" folder with the thumb-plate that doesn't have weird looking handles and blade shape. The closest thing have now is the Talwar and I just cant get over the shape. If they could make something like the voyager (or that new model) clip-point with the plate I would be in heaven.

Id' like a folding wharncliffe

no!

a folding viking SEAX!

make it a part of the griv-EX CTS BD1 line, and you know how the Voyagers have the mini Iron Crosses on their handles? put a celtic design on the Cold Steel Seax' handles.

The unveiling, yes, but I wouldn't get in a big hurry. It's December and they haven't even gotten out all of the new knives for 2015 :grumpy:

If people are too stupid to try a company cause they think some of those company's knives are too "mall ninja", I really, truly hope Cold Steel doesn't even THINK about changing things to cater to those morons.
I hate the term "mall ninja". On the same grounds that they throw that term at Cold Steel, the ENTIRE Emerson line would be considered Mall Ninja. As well as the entire Hinderer Line, ZT line, and Strider Line.

Here's the thing, once I know what's coming, I'll (hopefully) have an easier time waiting for the actual release.

I really want to see a titanium handle scale code 4 and anodized handle options for code 4 as well.

I completely agree with you about seeing some different color options in the anodized aluminum handles, but I just don't see the need for a titanium handle on the Code 4. Would it provide any significant benefits over aluminum other than the cool factor of a titanium handle? (I'm legitimately asking because I don't know) I understand the drive for Ti in frame-lock knives, but with a lock like Triad I just don't see it being necessary especially given the added cost it would add.

I would also love to see an updated Ti-lite. Ambidextrous pocket clip at least, and studs if possible. Also reconfiguring the quillions for a more positive "wave" and making the blade either stonewashed or satin. I just cant stand the bead blast. Lastly make the G10 a regular option instead of just an exclusive. Different colors for the scales (aluminum, G10, or Grivory) would be cool as well.
