I wonder what we will see in 2016?

^
I know. It would be easier on your pocket as well because the rough part wouldn't be the "catch" of the "wave". It would also make it more usable as a thumb ramp when opened instead of having your thumb butt into that flat part of the quillion. It would be a big win all the way around IMO.

I completely agree with you about seeing some different color options in the anodized aluminum handles, but I just don't see the need for a titanium handle on the Code 4. Would it provide any significant benefits over aluminum other than the cool factor of a titanium handle? (I'm legitimately asking because I don't know) I understand the drive for Ti in frame-lock knives, but with a lock like Triad I just don't see it being necessary especially given the added cost it would add.

The Ti frame would be a bit stronger but it's more for the cool factor titanium brings. Also I don't think it would add that much to price as the code 4 is very affordable knife so a premium version (around $120-150) would be pretty cool IMO.

(Reaching back a little...)

I would love to see an SRK in carbon steel like 1095, 5160, or 3V. Just something other than a mid tier stainless.

Seriously, this is such a no-brainer why has it not happened yet? O-1 would be a good alternate, my preference actually.

^Thanks for the link.

I have no experience with CPM-3V, but many seem to like it from what I've read here. Not a complaint, but a low alloy O-1 or 5160 would have been more of an attention-getter on my end.

I would love love love to see a Code 4 in the same "thinner" G10 that they are using on the American Lawman. Aluminum handles are what keeps me from really digging the Code 4.
Granted, CS could still keep both versions in its catalog and continue to keep printing their own money.

Ya, the slippery factor was what stopped me from going for the Code 4. I already had a Mackinac Hunter for a while and used a soldering iron to melt divots into the slippery plastic grips. I just saw the same thing happening again.

I think 3V will be a better performer. Cold steel run their O1 rather soft. My guess is low to mid 50s instead of near 60 where O1 start to have decent edge retention.

Would love to see a folding bowie with 6 1/2" blade to replace the Vaquero grande. For those who want something in between the Espada large and Espada XL

If the list of 2016 products we saw is correct, and the SRK and Recon Tanto are slated to become available in 3V, then I believe that we will be seeing
the Aus8, VG1 and VG1Sanmai SRKs and Recon Tantos become discontinued in 2016. The ones still being sold today may even be existing inventory.
