I would like a big hefty chopper would not like to spend more than 200 dollars on it want at least a seven inch blade

Well, there are a couple of routes to go. Check out the Himalayan Imports forum on here. They have many types of kukri that are under $200 that are world class choppers. I recently obtained a Ganga Ram 22inch that weighs 60 ounces for $165 on deal of the day. I can't imagine a needing bigger chopper.

To stay on the cheap (but quality) check out the Condor line. They came out with a whole list of new choppers this year.

Kabar kukri, grass machete, Cutlass machete, Becker BK9 are all nice.

You may also look into machetes. I do a lot (too much) chopping with knives, machetes and I believe that in a chopper, you cannot beat the bang for the buck you get with a machete. In my opinion, if you get a decent machet, spend time with it and learn to use it efficiently, a $30 machete will cover almost all of your average outdoorsmans chopping needs.

Good luck buddy!

i agree about the machete. you could most likely get a really great machete shipped to you for under thirty dollars.

Ka-Bar/Becker BK9!

I went with a rat7 and a sp 10 marine Bowie. The Bowie eats wood with little effort envolved.

More detail as to what exactly you want would probably be good. There are a lot of good options, including the Condor Warlock and Boomslang, Becker BK7 and 9, ESEE Junglas, and many more. You could also probably get a custom blade for under 200. I know I've made big choppers for under that price point before. Really depends on what you're looking for.

Id get an A2 Golok from Bark River. I have one and absolutely love it. A bit more than $200, but not much... and it is soooo worth it..

Here is a pic of mine with my 3V Aurora:

Get a Junglass by ESEE, it has a skull on the blade...

If all you want is a skull on a blade, I'll etch one on a Tram. Only $100...way cheaper than the Junglas.

That being said, I love my BK9 and my Ka-Bar Cutlass Machete. Both are great choppers.
