I would like a big hefty chopper

I Have a becker BK9 and it's great, chops well but still nimble enough for smaller tasks, it's about as close to a do-all "if-you-could-only-have-one" knife as you'll find. I also have a cold steel kukri machete and with a little work on the edge that sucker will get it done. You really can't go wrong with anything from ka-bar, ontario, condor, or esee. A good machete will also be a great choice. I'm sure I'm leaving off a bunch but I usually shoot for under $100 so those are what I research. I'm really considering an ontraio ranger series RD9. I've seen some torture test vids on youtube and it looks like one tough sucker. There's also the ranger bush series which is identical to the ranger series but 3/16th" instead of 1/4" that the rangers are and the RBS are cheaper too.

Heck for $200 you could get the ontario SP8, sp10, and kukri and still have $50 left over and all three of those are very good blades. Or a couple years ago for less than $200 I got a BK9, BK2, and CS kukri machete and could not be happier.

Even if we narrowed it down to $50-100 for 9"+ knives it would take months, maybe even up to a year to look into all of them( if you're anything like me when it comes to knife shopping) and make a decision. Then you gotta shop for the best deal...

I like the look of a few of the Condor range, particularly the Boomslang. Current big chopper is a CS LTC Khukri.

If all you want is a skull on a blade, I'll etch one on a Tram. Only $100...way cheaper than the Junglas.

That being said, I love my BK9 and my Ka-Bar Cutlass Machete. Both are great choppers.
