IBBB handle makeover in progress.

You know Uberi made the castings for Colt when Colt reintroduced their black powder line of revolvers some years back.

I did not know that! That's interesting. I have an Uberti Birdshead handle SAA knockoff that I love, maybe even my favorite, just a slick gun.

Yeah Uberti's are definitely slick. They use quality forged parts unlike a lot of companies that use sheet metal stampings for the internals. I have yet to shoot a Uberti that was out of "tune". They usually rotate, index, lock, and shoot very well. It's a very good idea to have a weak hand weapon Bawanna, the weak side knife is a solid choice. I have my tactical vest set up in a similar manner, I have an inverted EESE RC-3 mounted on my weak side incase I struggle with someone using my strong side. Another good option is to have a weak hand accessible knife in the small of your back riding horizontally. I have a Cold Steel Spike set up on my everyday belt, and OSS dagger would also work in the small of the back.

Yep, Love color case hardening. I would definately recommend Uberti's but I did not know the thing about Colt going to them when they were restarting that line. But I can see it as a good choice. They are well made. I don't know if Uberti actually "fixed" the issues the original Walkers had with the loading levers. I never had mine disengage as the originals are claimed to have done very frequently. I know that is one of the reasons that so few of the Walkers exist the feedback resulted in the Dragoon replacing it so not many batches were made, and of the ones made a couple hundred were damaged due to the cylinder splitting.

Also agree about the knife placements too. I always have a blade I can reach from a bunch of different angles/grips.

Well stricken with the stag fever I completed my whole ensemble! Bookie, ensemble, that's like the whole outfit. You know when your wife don't like you to wear the bright yella shirt with them retro plaid shorts you like so much?

I did my little neck knife to match my bowie. I want to redo the 1911, that was a set I got some place and cleaned up to where I like em but I want to do my own if I stumble into the right size piece of stag.
Also hoping Pugs can come up with some sort of neck rig that will retain it and be comfy. Stag and kydex just don't belong in the same neighborhood in my feeble unworthy opinion.

Posted several shots so Pugs would have something to look at. I'm sure I probably don't have the angles he needs. I'm leather challenged.

That's an attractive view of that Bawanna Bowie.

That little neck knife came out sweet and your IBBB is looking awesome as ever!

Weird seeing the IBBB next to an even smaller knife... throws off my whole perspective.

Anyways great job on that whole trio!

Man that is a sweet CRKT! It will be interesting to see what Pugs comes up with. Im gonna have to pick your brains about them hidden pins. That looks so nice!

Careful what you wish for ;)

Bawanna, Now that is one gorgeous and obviously customized bobtail 1911. I mean its a friggin work of art Bawanna wow... I love the 1911 and I love how clean and neat it is. Im glad you went the single sided safety route, I find ambi safeties dig into the inside of my trigger finger/upper palm. I am also a huge fan of the standard guide rod. Most people go the full length route but John Browning knew what he was doing. Even a little bend in a full length rod can render the pistol useless. 20 lpi checkering seems to be there maybe its 25lpi cant tell. That is one hell of a utility belt load out. Very very nice, btw... I have had excellent luck with Wilsons magazines

Except for the grips it's actually out of the box stock. The checkering is too course for my taste, the later versions had finer checkering. I do stick with single side safeties, hate ambi's. If I was cursed with left handedness I'd just carry a different gun rather than ruin a good 1911 with an ambi.

I also run nothing but Wilson mags in all of them. Never ever had an issue. I bobtailed my own Para and I'm seriously considering bobbing my Ruger 1911. They just feel right to me and carry much nicer too.

I agree on the standard guide rod also, makes a much easier press check. I do love this Cbob, keeper for sure.
