Ice storm- everyone stay safe!

Roads are like small ponds, with some slushies thrown in for good measure. Got a half day at work today. Will definitely freeze up tonight, I am booking early.

Yeah it sucks. I was on duty last night on ambulance. Spent all night running car wrecks.

Havent been to sleep yet. Had a rollover into a creek. That was fun. Got wet and cold. Cant beat it!

you should keep a pair of those SAR coveralls in your kit, the ones the river rescue boys use. Quick to throw on, and you dont get wet or freezing....

Yeah, we have something like those, but even after gettin the dumbass drunk out, I still managed to get wet and cold. It was fun. 35 mph for 2 hours to the hospital. It was worth it to see Highway patrol waiting on the guy at the er though. Well that, and how cut up his face was. Friggin drunk drivers.

And people here in Nor Cal are whining about a couple of 30 degree nights :D

Stay safe those of you in the thick of it.

We got hit with about 7 inches of snow where I am at. I suppose it is a nice addition to the existing 14 inches we had. (More like 8 inches after a couple of days ago when it was 38 degrees an melted a lot of it)

I commend you- I think I would put them back:mad:

It's freakin' raining pretty good now and will probably freeze over night. My wife is working late so as long as she gets home OK I'll be fine. Otherwise - Let it Rain!!

Been staying elsewhere for a couple of days due to the weather predictions. It hadn't gotten bad at all here though. No snow and only minor ice problems (some power outages) and rain. Factoring that with the fact that the weatherman gave no snow accumulation for the day I headed home.

Of course half way there it comes a blizzard. I make it to the bottom of my hill before sliding sideways and having to coax the truck into someone's yard. By the time I walk to the house to let the owner know, there's another truck in the same situation. I grab my stuff and start walking up the hill (a long steep hill) with snow peppering my face the whole way. As I step on my porch it stops snowing and I can hear the plow headed up the hill.

I give the salt some time to do it's thing and head back down. I then spend another half an hour trying to get my truck back on pavement. I hate Winter.

It was a tad chilly last night, but it's a nice balmy 71 degrees here in Los Angeles. I think I'll hit the beach today.
