Idea Push, Basic Kukri

For the record, my issue with off topic discussion in the B13 thread was about converting a high utility chopper into a weapon with intent to harm people making the thread look bad. In this thread, I wasn't talking about something other than a basic khukri so much as explaining where going down that road wound up becoming the compromise of a plain B13 and a Khukri into the Bolo13. If you search back years ago many of us asked for a res-c khuk (search: Basic Zilla, Basilla, Bazilla, khukrat, dogzilla) etc on this very forum (and the swamp) without even a blip of recognition. So this is my attempt at giving you honest feedback as to what might realistically be achievable with a compromise of khukri lovers wants (I have two TTKZ'z, I like khuks just fine) vs analyzing Busse production history indications with the basic handle lead to a compromise in design that became the B13/Bolo13 idea. Plain and simple, is there even one res-c handled design that is wider than 2.5" which a khukri requires that has ever been produced? So not only are we asking for a model Jerry has not yet shown interest in producing via mention, prototype or hints just like the Bolo13, but also coming up with a production method that he has never used. I wish it were otherwise and would love to be shown to be wrong, :) but the straight stock design history with Basic handles seems like a lock. ;) I am still talking about the Basilla and would love to see one someday too, just perhaps saying what is true at this time about it makes it less palatable.

Also for the record, since it is erroneously mentioned yet again in this thread, the B13/Bolo13 is NEITHER a .25" thick design NOR is it a machete, it is based off of the extremely well performing 1311 design to be a lightweight to high performance ratio chopper that could function as a machete when needed to but keep your belt light. I am one of the first to be excited about a Basilla, or a Khukrat, or even a Dogzilla, but if people could come together to work for one common goal that meets with success than it would be easier to try for the next one. Running competing threads for multiple similar designs over and over just makes us look disorganized like a bunch of kids all begging for a different toy when daddy hasn't even said one could be had. If all the kids agree on one common goal, he will be much easier to convince to at least ponder granting the wish. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would much prefer the idea of actually getting something physically in our hands as we can't chop anything with 10 different dreams that all sound great but never come to fruition. We may hit multiple thousands of posts in the B13 thread and never get recognition either or we may be able to get a custom group order, or an actual production run, but all we can do is try and see what happens. Teamwork will go way further than divide and conquer. With that said, we do all have different tastes, though some of us appreciate many flavors of ice cream, so I will not mention the B13/Bolo13 again in this thread unless to specifically reply to a question/comment directed at me. I'll leave that up to you guys as to how you approach it. :)

A ~10" crescent/khukri blade in 5/16" full flat grind with res-c handle does sound very interesting and I hope we see one someday! :D INFI Basilla or Bazilla, maybe just what res-C needs is a C shaped blade! :p

Sorry, but this kid just doesn't want to push for the "one common goal" because I have no intention of purchasing one. I don't think it would be right to do that. There is no "competing thread". You guys have enough pages of "I want a B13" that this one is just a tiny blip that will probably barely even show on the radar, but dang it, let us have our little blip.
This all reminds me of a hunting buddy who was so gung-ho about the virtues of the 7mm Remington mag that to this day I still won't buy one just because he was so pushy about it.

I wasn't suggesting we don't try for a basic khukri, I want one too and have for a very long time. I was trying to point out that if we all work together to get ANY NEW RES-C INFI offering to be made it would take a group effort since the last one was announced over 4 years ago and something real in hand is way better than nothing. Apparently in my passion to see that happen, I went about this in a manner that did not read well. I apologize as that was not my intent.

Class act Tim, we should work together. I have a dream that one day HOGS both piglet and full boar could work towards the common goal of MORE INFI FOR ALL. Furthermore, I believe that the res-c handle is one of the most comfortable things on the planet. More and bigger kukhri and 13 for whomever wishes to buy. We can coexist my HOGS, at least until feeding time. See you in the trough....

And I apologize for being a grouch about it.

I think the regulator handle is similarly shaped & would work excellent on a khukri with the ~16" OAL.

I would buy MULTIPLES of almost anything INFI or ELMAX with a Regulator handle and less than .25" blade thickness.

I prefer .140" to 3/16".

For smaller blade lengths, I feel the same about the WarDog/B4 handle.

BRING IT!!!
