Ideas for a new EDC but with tons of restrictions.

I need some ideas for a new EDC knife, but needs to fit the following criteria:

1) Blade <3.5" and "non-scary" looking to non-knife people. Probably <3" to be a bit smaller and more comfortable to pocket carry.
2) Non-locking to be law abiding so basically a form of a slipjoint.
3) Two handed opening. No flicks, no spyderco holes and nothing that can be wrist flicked open.
4) No clip or must be removable.
5) Must be really slim/thin to carry easily in the front pocket. Basically nothing small and fat.

That's the basic specs, but I also want something modern looking. I am not interested in any tradition style slipjoints and they also tend to be pretty fat. I'd like something as slim/thin as possible.

The knife that comes closest to all of this is the Enzo PK70, but there is one problem. It's a very small nail-nick with not much to grab onto. I keep my nails super short so I can't open nail nicks, but I can grab the blade with my thumb and index fingers and pull it open that way. But that requires a bit more of the blade exposed so that I can grab it.

So any ideas?

Thanks!

Hmm, what about a traditional with a modern twist? I like the look of the Case Sod Busters w/ carbon fiber.

Not too bad, but a bit boring looking. What steel do they use? I don't see it listed anywhere.

Spyderco pingo?

Not a fan of the shape or FRN handles.

Forgot to mention, looking for something "nice" and higher-end. Thanks

How high end? I'm sure you could find something in the Makers For Sale section. Or have one made.

Sod Buster was first that popped into my head. And just saw your post it looks boring, but that's kind of the point if you don't want to scare people. Steel is probably carbon or a lower end stainless.

The Boker Cox (Asnso designed) is much higher end than the Boker Plus collaborations, and I think fulfills the requirements,

'Tru Sharp Surgical Steel' - whatever that is. I agree it's slightly boring but your stipulations really limit the excitement factor lol.

Now we're talkin'! The Cox basically fits the bill, but I can't say that I dig the blade design. But definitely along the right lines in terms of specs and being higher-end (nicer steel, not China-made, etc).

Michael Morris makes his knives out of high carbon metal files or Ferriers rasps depending on the look you want and offers various handle shapes and materials.

Fallkniven U1? It's a small, flat slipjoint, with somewhat modern design and very nice blade steel (3G). It seems to fit all your needs.

Todd Begg Knive Mini Glimpse Friction Folder with a 3" hollow ground blade of N690 stainless steel. Choice of G10 or CF for handles.

How about this modern twist on a trad slipjoint by Hiroaki Ohta. Full custom with ironwood handle and carbon fiber liners. Very light an classy with a unique profile.

How about a friction folder like a Svord mini peasant with some custom scales? Here is one I did a while back.
