No 110? How about Buck Lochsa with S30V? Pocket clip and thumbstud.

I was hoping you wouldn't exclude flippers. My money is with the Boker Urban Trapper. It's just fantastic for what you described other than the flipper action.

I really like the look of the Urban Trapper. Unfortunately the no flippers thing isn't about personal preference. While the customs situation is improving here I thing flippers are still seized at the border. Otherwise the Boker ticks a lot of boxes.

Chris, are you sure the "Flipper" you are thinking of isn't just the "spring assisted flipper", where you get the blade moving and a spring takes over the opening?

The Urban Trapper is not spring assisted, so I'm thinking you'd be okay.

Sadly no. For a while it was difficult to get almost any one handed opener here due to a customs policy interpretation. It's better now but flippers may be pushing it. I hear change is in the works so it might be worth waiting it out.

I really appreciate the suggestions. My wish list is somewhat longer now :)

Benchmade 940 is a good choice. (S30v)
If your lucky maybe a used Lionsteel tre (m390)
Benchmade G10 grip or mini with the new 20CV blade
Mini or reg sized ritter griptilian and get custom scales (m390)

I'm going to agree with ChazzyP here and recomend a BM 943.
Much as I love my 940, I prefer the 943. Maybe not quite as slicy as an FFG Spyderco, but still a great lightweight EDC folder that ticks the rest of your boxes.

Al Mar sere or mini sere, Al Mar shrike, Al Mar nomad. Check out their site lots of other nice models too!

That really sucks. Even with some of my manual opening knives (not assisted or flippers) I can open as fast if not faster than some autos or assisted knives.

Just curious but do you know how they would act towards a waved knife? Is it too tactical looking?

I second the BM 707, or better still the BM 943

Cant go wrong with either

There are plenty of flippers that have actions so smooth, someone unfamiliar with the knife would swear it was assisted. My experience is primarily ZT's and Kershaws. The Strobe, the 0801, the 0452, and 0562 come immediately to mind as flippers which snap open with absolutely minimal effort if the flipper. It wouldn't surprise me if some shady Customs guy was grabbing all such knives under the guise of "Oops! Assisted knifes, these are contraband!" then they walk out the back door to his car.

Mini Ritter Griptilian. Very nice size for pocket carry and great steel.

You guys are seriously awesome. I'm compiling a list to see what's around/available here.

Most non-knife people wouldn't know what a wave is for and there seem to be a fair few waved options around here now. The non-tactical part is really so it doesn't startle my workmates :)
