Jim when you have time you can click on the pix on photopoint and use the tools they have there to crop your pix. It takes a little while to figure it out, but if I can do it anyone can.
You can also enlarge and manage your photo's in other ways, but since they came up with their new upgrade I don't like it as much.
Used to be that you could change the brighteness and contrast, but I don't see that option there anymore.
And you're welcome for the help.
That's what we're here for and have the rep of being one of or the friendliest forum on bladeforums.
Have to give the credit to my Bro Uncle Bill. He's the one responsible for what goes on here, well my little Bro Rusty does play a part as well.

Jim you don't have to put another's post in quotes here unless it's just a short excerpt to clarify or make a point.

And welcome to the Cantina. You will discover what that is soon enough as well as what the dreaded Himalayan Imports Khukuri Virus=HIKV is.

And I like the khukuri and it does appear to have some age. But to me it looks like a Newari Tourist Khukuri, but there are others more qualified to speak about that than me.
The Newari's are a class of people in Nepal that makes some very beautiful carved khukuris for the tourist trade. The usually aren't much good for anything but wall hangers since they're usually pretty soft.
Have you ever used the khuk or tried to sharpen it?
That will tell you what kind of quality it has.
Occasionally though there are some real Nepalese Ceremonial khukuri's that are of very high quality that look much the same as yours I understand.
I bet Uncle Bill will know for sure.

This Khuk is beautiful!!!!!!!!! I wonder..... is this orginally made in Nepal as the engraving on the scabbard implies? Uncle, can you duplicate this kind of work. I bet the takers would be many. AWESOME!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!! Engraving on blade, intricate and detailed work on scabbard. simply Awesome!!! Definitely a hanger.

The rig does look to have some age -- I'm not sure about 70 years, though. Generally, the older the better and if this blade is hardened up okay this could be a pretty good khukuri. The Newaris are capable of making a fine khukuri but won't do it for the tourist trade.

And I forgot my manners. Welcome to the Cantina.

Kremeking although this is a very beautiful khukuri it is nothing compared to some that Harry, known as Apothecary, has got from H.I.
Harry as ordered some special khukuris made as he wanted that have had the blades engraved with some beautiful carvings.
One even has gold inlayed in the Sword of Shiva instead of the every day brass.
And some of the scabbards that H.I. has made from buffalo horn with brass or silver trim that has also been embossed are very beautiful as well.
And if needed the H.I.Khukuri's are up to any task presented.
Bura told Uncle Bill when Uncle Bill wanted a thinner lighter Kothimoda as it wasn't going to be used,
"But Bena how do you know the person who buys one of our Kothimodas won't be using it? There may come a time when a man has to defend his home with this khukuri and we don't want it to fail."
And they won't. The H.I.Kothimoda is one hell for stout dui chiarra blade that is both beautiful and very functional.
