if i clip a knife on the inside of my poket, will the average citizen even notice?

Many people do notice, but they usually do not know what it is. My friends do know that it's a knife though, and sometimes they attempt to pull it out in public places to scare me :D

I notice because I look for knives. I play a game in my head trying to identify what people are carrying by the clip.

Before I was really into knives.I never noticed ANYONE carrying, now that I look for it I see lots of people carrying.

So to answer your question I dont think so

I play this game all the time my favorite part is when i see someone carrying an with an STR low rider clip!

No one has ever said anything to me if they even noticed. But I've noticed others and wanted to say something but didn't. I'll start another thread about what to say to someone when you do notice and want to strike up a conversation about knives with them.

The only person that ever noticed was my First Sergeant when I was in Korea. I had my CRKT Eros clipped to the pocket of my dress uniform, and he told me to put it in my pocket since it is not an approved accouterments for the dress uniform.

Other than that, nobody has ever said anything, even here in the UK, which is pretty darn knife unfriendly. I only carry my UKPK or Squeak clipped to my pocket. If I am being foolish and carrying a lock blade, I carry deep in my pocket, just to be semi-safe. I have noticed pocket clips on a few others, and asked another NCO in my shop about his. He had a CRKT m16, and proceeded to tell me about how he had a titanium bladed custom at home that would stay sharp way longer than any steel in the world (because titanium is way harder than steel can get apparently  ). After that I kinda left him alone about knives lol...
