yeah, can’t argue against a GEC 15, though a 48 or 77 is nice too...anything from Mr CC floats my boat. For me it is GEC. This is for a number of reasons. Their knives developed my enthusiasm for traditional slip joint knives. The obvious quality. Additionally, their creativity beyond cover materials makes collecting fun. I also like their use of model names I.e “beer scout” “calf roper” etc go beyond the traditional “sleeve board” “serpentine” etc.
That said I cannot pick a favorite knife, but I do have a favorite pattern seen below.

I’m lucky to even have one CC knife. That’s quite an amazing assortment of knives you have for sure. Those would be too nice for me to want to use.Yea

Easy to see why this would be your favorite. Really doesn't get any better than that!Well Jeffblack mamba , as I understand it , you asked what is our favorite knife if we have 6 different brands . I easily have more than 6 different brands and you know my Favorite Knife is one of my GEC 73s in Stag .

Thanks Jeff! Appreciate that coming from a fellow traveler on the Stockman path.Bruce, that Rooster has always been a favorite of mine as well.![]()
So that's where they all wentGEC 15 single blade clips. Small enough yet large enough. Most pinchable GEC 15 blade style. More comfortable to use than multiblade slipjoints as there is no secondary tang to cut into your grip. Rounded edges don't tear up your pockets. GEC executes this pattern well.

SS versions have slightly more pull, wonderful walk and talk.
