If it's possible . . .

Will Power Will Power - Here Will, per your order, a levergun and a wheel gun (with a selection of knives) to help you choose! OH
Ps. You already did fine!
Pps. All the knives shown are favorites, just not my “most favorite”.

Not my prettiest knife. That may be my Laguiole, or Le Thiers, or Spanish navaja. Not the most comfortable or sharpest. That's my Opinel No. 8, which is my runner-up, and the only other knife on my nightstand every night. I find the Case 6318 a perfect everyday carry. Not too small and not too big. Almost unnoticeable in the pocket, yet capable of cutting fruit, meat, packages, rope, string, etc. I love the smoothness of the knife when it is closed--no sharp edges on the tang or spine of the blades to wear on the pocket or scratch my leather rosary pouch. I love the three blades, and the bone handle. I drop it in my pocket every morning, and wouldn't leave home without it.

Things change, as we all know, but currently it's this lil old Wenger. Something about the badge, exposed rivets, crisp tools, so much in a well made small package. I've dismissed SAKs for a long time, until I came across a few vintage ones. While the old army model 1908 is a bit of a brick for pocketing daily, a two or three layer pre 1960s officer's model is just a deligh.

Pleasant evening in Bogue NC, sitting in a rocking chair listening to a local gospel group and thinking about your question. I own at least twelve brands (mostly vintage, some current) of quality pocketknives. I only own one representative of my favorite; this Fight’nRooster Premium Stockman has been my favorite since acquiring it years ago (and I’ve never even carried it!). It’s the most perfect knife I own and it gives me joy just to look at it and work the blades. OH

OH, That is a beauty. Nothing like green bone and a stockman.

For a long time it was a GEC stag 73 but then I started collecting Schrade wire jacks. The simplicity yet strength makes them the ideal knife for me. The clip point is in such beautiful condition for its age that it’s in consideration but the large spear point is clearly the winner.View attachment 1567435View attachment 1567436
Wow!!! I love these. So very cool. I especially like the clip point. Very very nice. 😎

This is actually a harder question to answer than I originally thought...and after scouring the net for the last 15 minutes for a Schrade Wire Jack...haha...I’m still not even sure I can make a decision. I only have a few Gec’s, a few case knives, a couple French knives, so this should be easy.
I have more 47’s (3) than any other style, however my answer is this.

I’m not generally attracted to stag covers...so when I actually found one that I thought was beautiful...I was ecstatic. I carry this toothpick in my back pocket daily. Its a wonderful knife, well built and holds up no problem to the tasks I have subjected it too. So that is my answer. For now. ;)

The 74 is another favorite of mine, and I’m still trying to bring myself to use

If you can possibly come up with an answer (it's a terribly difficult question!), for those of you who have at least a half dozen different brands of traditional knives, not counting customs, which is your singular favorite, and why?

Do you have to own the knife?

I started spending time on this subforum because I was drawn to the traditional knives shown. Not spring knives, not newer designs using space age materials and different methods of construction, but traditional knives.

Harry’s TEW embodies the draw of this place for me. Classic design, made with old timey craftsmanship. The good looks don’t hurt either. It’s obviously been well cared for. The honest wear makes it a very interesting knife and the used condition removes any uneasiness I’d have sharpening the blade and slipping it into my pocket.

As usual I can never pare it down to just one knife. I always carry a large stockman. Unfortunately my favorite was a Queen 49 in amber bone. Backspring broke. But I will also carry a Case 6375.
Most of the time my trusty Queen Gunstock rides along.
My almost favorite knife that I don't usually carry is a BF Barlow.
Here they are.

This is an impossible question but the answers so far are pretty interesting. I'm going to keep my answer to two knives that I have carried a lot and have earned patinas. Neither of them are knives that had amazing fit and finish but they are fantastic working knives.

The first is a simple friction folder made out of a piece of olive wood, that still has it's natural odor after several years

The second is an A.Wright which had some horribly ugly stag so I polished off the original scratchy look.

That came out lookin really neat. Really nice job. How did you deal with the pins? Just sanded?

Thanks! It was pretty easy considering the dark areas were pretty superficial, nothing like sambar stag. I was able to just sand around the pins because I didn't want the knife to get loose and just left the natural grooves. I think I started with 100 grit and went to 400.

I really love a nice Northwoods, otherwise from a custom maker it's hard to beat a Meades.
