I think it would be the Benchmade 940. Great knife and a lot of blade for the size. Second would be the 730 Ares and third would be the 804 AFCK! Those are the 3 I like best! THANKS! Kevin
The 943 is my favorite Benchmade to carry but if I could only have one my favorite all time as far as design, aesthetics, and function would be the 732 Ares.
one of the most under rated production knives in my opinion is Benchmade's Presidio 520.
Super tough, (4 years of daily use including unintended abuse) great feeling handle with lots of traction, easy carry and practical bevels. Widely useful blade profile.
I'm carrying a Barrage, (Warn edition) these days, but that 520 is a fantastic knife and if I could have only one folder, the 520 would be it.
The 950 Rift. It is my favorite folder design out of all the knives I have handled. I have had one in my RFP every single day since I've had one. I originally started with the 2 tone G10 and 154CM but have been carrying the M4 and black G10 for the last couple years.
Contemplating carrying my new M4 and carbon fiber Rift which is supposed to be a couple points harder than my current EDC. The practical side of me doesn't see the need for another EDC of the same model. But I'm sure it will only be a couple days before it ends up in my pocket.
The 940 was my first Benchmade and first "real" knife, and despite having amassed dozens of knives since then it's still my favorite overall. It's just a near-perfect balance of portability and capability, and is versatile in that it fits into most environments: indoors, outdoors, city, country, relaxed or fancy.
I haven't held early as many I get the impression but right now the BM 705 is my favorite, it's my newest edition ad it's still got that new knife feel.
I think it's a great edc, of course the bonecollector, 710 and mini grip are to....
But one BM forever though...from the ones I've seen I'd probably take the 710...wish I could find a plain edge version though.
