Excellent !!!! Cheers my good G-man

If you're willing to look around hard enough, there's a book written by "Henry Hill" about his experiences with organized crime, as well as his experiences with the FBI and the Witness Protection program. Dood is actually working as a screenwriter in LA under his REAL name. The book is called "Gansters and Goodfellas." I have a copy, but I lent it to this creative writing student of mine who has a fixation with mob stories and I think I forgot to get it back from him. I should send him a fish in a vest wrapped in newspaper...

Sweet. I'll have to check that out.

Speaking of crime. WTF.. Chicago is getting nuts lately with all these murders. Something every day. Pretty bad stuff. :thumbdn:
now, where is my flak jacket..

where is my flak jacket..

Didn't you mail that to RedWolfHowling along with a big herring after the "U" thread?

Miami's getting nuts too. We've had 8 cops killed in the past 7 months between Miami-Dade and Broward county. It's said that almost every other car in my little municipality of Hialeah (mostly Cuban) is armed.

About 6 months ago some dood pulled up to a routine traffic stop, pulled out an AK and blasted on 4 cops, killing one and wounding three. 10 hours later his insides were splattered all over a toilet stall at some development. The story is that he was taking a dump with a Glock on his lap when the cops kicked in the door. Apparently he tried to take aim and was blasted with a few rounds of .223.

What I heard during a handgun course two days later from a guy working at the big police supplier was that the dood was actually on the throne talking on the phone when he gave up the ghost. Two guys kicked in the door and he got a few center mass. Not a word exchanged, not a sound at all.

That happened on a Thursday. Needless to say, the shop sold over 200 AR's the next day.

Down here the cops roll hard. Reminds me of the Everlast joint on Prince Paul's "A Prince Among Thieves":

"The Police Department is like a crew..."

Oh chit!!

Not good at all man..

Actually I am going to Miami and then the Keys for a vacation (with the family) last week of July. Been doing this every year since I was 15

I usually stay in the Ocean Drive area or anywhere by Collins Ave. . I stay clear from Little Havana.

If ya wana meet up I'll be in that area.

Word up. I'm about 15 minutes from Miami Beach so maybe we can link. Let me know what days and I'll speak with Ben about doing it at his house. Scotch, cigars and Busses!

And don't sleep on Little Havana...if you like TrueTere, you'll find plenty to like all over Miami, but Little Havana and Hialeah can't be beat for food.

Scotch, cigars and Busses ! Sounds good to me man..

I love all the food from that area except the pizza...

Yea. I'm all about latin women such as TT. She is by far my fav.. Just something about her...

Well, you Chicagoans love that thick-ass pizza, so down here you're not really gonna find that, except at Big Tomato, which is great gourmet type stuff with Gorgonzola and whatnot. But there is a great Argentine pizza spot on the 8th and Washington called "Pizza Rustica" and they have great big rectangle slices of thinner crust pizza with amazingly fresh toppings like arugula, squash...all kinds of stuff.

As for TT...too bad she's always so coy...if ya know what I mean. Btw...you still with that latina chick?

Don't forget to let me know when you'll be down, and where you'll be. I have surgery to get my port removed on Thursday, but I can't see it being a serious thing. I think I'll be aight. I'ma hit you with a pm.

Couldn't agree more with the original post. My daba is my favorite, my 3/16 BAIII close behind, though i like my new sar 5 a lot also for this category of knife. Like whisk, i feel the ad is too small, the meaner just a little too small, and the batac too chunky. I also like the much simpler handle of the BAIII infinitely better than the batac handle. YMMV

True, true ... the various BA-III style knives were and are wonderful.

But ... if you can stand the horrible disadvantage of a 6" long blade ... you should look at the Original Satin Jack. Now THAT is a knife, my friends.:)

Hmm. No 'shedding a tear' smiley.

Just a few oldies. :D

Holy crap.

OP is starting to look a lot like buckman#10.

Nice Jacks, Jamie!

HELL YEA ...

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY

That web page really truned me off. I rather brun my money that give it to them...:thumbup:

I got to try a Fehrman knife not too long ago and got as far as the website like you. I really liked the knife, but I know if I bought one.....it would forever be the Jesus knife in my mind. Can't do it :p

LOL.... funny stuff but, it's so true....
:D:D:D

Yep, those older satin jacks look great too.

So, an ABA is an anorexic badger attack...what's a DABA? Desert?

Sounds like an ABA would be just the shot...wonder if they'd be shocked with demand if they actually re-released a new version? Call it a RABA! (retro anorexic badger attack). Still, it seems they they sell whatever they put forward anyway...

There's also the Jungle ABA (JABA) which is a dark green.

Then you get into the Clip point, or CPABA, which has a slightly different blade profile and a pretty decent swedge grind.
