If you could build yourself an edc folder what would it look like ?

My favorite EDC knives are the older Benchmade 913 Stryker and the Spyderco PM2. Their size, weight and so forth are actually fairly similar. My Stryker is D2 steel and my latest PM2 is S110V steel. If I could choose any steel then S110V is probably good enough, although I would be tempted to go with M4. The latest limited model Stryker is M4 and I'm tempted by it. The other thing I would like for either one is to sculpt the scales a little bit. I have the Benchmade 890 Torrent and I like the contoured and polished G10 scales that it had. I would like similar scales for the PM2 or Stryker. Until then these 2 models are pretty close to ideal for me.

I thought more people would make renderings of their ideal knife design, not as a chore but to have a clear visualization of it that they can dream about.
I guess there'd have to be a contest where you could win the chance to have it made, for people to take the time to draw it out. ( that would be a cool prize though )

What I did to draw my knives was to partially trace an existing knifes handle, then change it here and there and draw my blade design in the general size of the traced knife's blade.
I didn't copy any knives, I just used a rough outline of the handle/frame as a starting point.

The knife designs are fun for us to see, but actually drawing it out puts you one step closer to it being a reality😉

Now if only I could buy an endura blade for $20 then I'd buy the blade do some modifying to it then wait for the axis lock patent to be up buy a ganzo and a buck 110 and start on my frankenknife idea

Southern Grind Bad Monkey, no wave, S35VN or better steel, flipper on bearings, dark green ctek scales.

I would love a version of the Slysz Bowie that had a pointer blade, and a slimmer design overall. Perhaps just a hair smaller, but retaining those awesome ergos and contoured handles. The Bowie is boarderline in my office, and not the best at opening mail. This for me would solve both those problems during the work week, while still fueling my obsession with this knife.

Besides the Bad Monkey I mentioned above, I already own the perfect "customized" folder, and I carry it quite often. I don't "edc" as I carry different knives throughout the week.

This is my Manix 2 Sprint, CTS-XHP with desert ironwood scale by sketchen. Perfect knife, not too big, not too small, not too heavy.

Love the Blur handle shape, maybe use G10 only on one side and a frame lock on the other side with a deep carry clip. Then add a flipper and remove the thumb studs. Finally add a little more jimping to the top of the blade.

Hickory n Steel....looks like have the design down. Now it's time for you to put the steel to the grinder and make it come to life!

I already have it. I designed this one and Alan Davis made it. It is perfect 👍👍

Easy just grab the blade and pull it open. Smooth as silk 👍👍
Thank You! Kevin

I'd just like a large Sebenza with something other than a frame lock.

I don't think frame locks are bad, but I have large knuckles and short fingers... The geometry of my hands is the problem. The pad on the second knuckle squeezes in the frame lock if I grip the knife with any force causing lock stick and premature wear. Otherwise I think the Sebbie 21 is basically perfect.

Now that is definitely right up my alley, actually that knifes' design is my alley.
I don't care if a knife is modern or traditional, but I prefer them fairly simple and sterile in design.

Thank You!! My idea was to design a better SodBuster than any that are made by a factory. Then Alan Davis was the man for the job and boy did he come through 👍👍👍!!
Thanks Again Kevin 😊👍
