If you could change a dimension or size of any Spyderco model...

The Mini/larger Southard comments got me to wondering if there were any other knives Spyderco made that I wish were bigger/smaller/thicker/skinnier/wider/etc.

I think I'd like a skinnier Domino or Manix (not thinner blade/scales, but more narrow blade-profile/scale-profile), but I really don't want a larger one and I probably won't pick up a Dice.

I wish Spyderco would make a larger Techno as well.

If you could change only the size/dimension of a Spyderco model (not materials or design, etc.), what would it be?

Thinner blade stock Southard. The rest can stay the same. I do sometimes wish the handle was a little taller, but the thickness of the handle helps make it more filling. The blade thickness keeps me from carrying it as often as I would like. I think the Domino has good proportions, a slightly longer blade would be nice, but it is not too tall in my opinion. I also wouldn't mind a slightly longer blade in the PM2, the handle is there, why not.

This isn't what your asking but it sort'a fits, I want a knife with the same overall shape/dimensions as a caly 3.5 but in liner or R.I.L. In fact I've actually looked into having one custom made. I love the Caly series but I don't love back locks, that knife would be perfect.

I would make an additional Dragonfly but have it be slightly larger. Give it a 3" blade but scale all the other dimensions up exactly.

I would put flush CF scales on the Gayle Bradley. That knife almost feels like an effort was made to make the knife as uncomfortable as possible.

Longer blade on the PM2 handle.

Like the OP, I would have preferred the Domino to have a narrower AND slightly longer blade (handle as is can accommodate both).

Choiled Delica.

Eagerly awaiting Stretch variations and Military2.

I'm just wondering, what is your attraction to a thinner southard blade? The thickness of the blade at the spine is actually one of my favorite parts of the southard, I think its beautiful. I wouldn't mind a thinner presentation side scale but for me the blade is perfect as is. Not trying to argue or say your opinion is wrong, just asking.

Techno with close to a 3 inch blade and longer handle, or a southard with a 3 inch blade and shorter handle, ideal edc for me.

Cutting performance. Plain and simple, the thing binds in cardbard, pops apples instead of cutting them, and in general feels duller due to increased friction.

I won't buy one because it's just too thick. If you need a knife that thick you need a different tool.

Agreed!

A Southard with a thinner blade and thinner non-lockside scale would be appealing. I would also love a smaller version of the Military, preferably <8" OAL.

Southard scaled down to a just under 3" blade with a handle of 3.5". Domino to a just under 3" blade but more with a blade that's not so wide. Techno scaled up to a just under 3" blade.
