If You Could Choose Only One Knife?

ESEE 4. Not too heavy to lug around. tough enough to hammer through concrete blocks.

I like that Bullshark. Looked up the price for the "M" edition, and if I did my conversion right and if the prices shown on his site are Euros, those knives are 320 Euros = $416 US!!! Cool knives, but spendy for O1 steel. I'm hoping that either my math is wrong, or that you found a better price than that.

Your math is correct ;). And it is the price i paid for it in euro`s, but its a great knife and worth every penny IMO. This also includes a Martin Swinkels sheath. Its the third generation i have. And the maker has tested these hard before even thinking about selling them! So its my obvious choice.

Say... you were unexpectedly put in a Les Stroud (SurvivorMan), type situation....

If it was unexpected, I wouldn't have a choice other than my EDC choice I make most days which is a Stockman slip joint. :D

Say... you were unexpectedly put in a Les Stroud (SurvivorMan), type situation and you could only choose one knife to take with you, what would it be and why?

Why?

Because it can do everything that I might need a knife to do....and more.

My Swamprat Ratmandue would be my pick while it doesn't do any particular task very well it is a sort of jack of all trades.

If it has to be a folder, probably a large Demko AD10. For a fixed blade I'd choose a JK Knatchet.

Gerber LMF-II ASEK. All the useful survival features you could want, fairly soft steel so you don't need to worry about bending, built-in sharpener in the sheath so edge retention isn't that big of a deal, great sheath, etc.

If I had my pick I would take a Busse ASh-1 . 6 1/2 inches of unbreakable workhorse . Or for alot less money the Scrap Yard Scrapper 6 . Also 6 1/2 inches and you can check out how it held up on knifetests.com . Either one will not let you down when your life could depend on it .

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !
