If you could design your own GEC SFO, what would it be? I've been thinking about my ideal GEC, as I'm sure others here have before.

Mine would be a n EO #85. Spear blade with long pull. Scratted bone, but darker than the recent 15 ancient barlows. There would also be a second option for a two blade, but instead of a pen secondary it would be a wharncliffe. Wouldn't mind offering the same two knives in a peach seed jigged bone also.

Curious what anyone else would want to see. Who knows, maybe GEC will take some interest in the thread.

Funny......Mine would be an EO #85. Spear blade with long pull. Nice dark jigged bone handles.

Hey there so would mine :D Long pull spear blade EO #85 with brushed double end bolsters, thread lining in the top bolster and some jigged bone handles and a federal shield.

That or a 56 Dogleg Jack with a half stop, long pull spear, shadow pattern with a bird's eye pivot in nice linen or canvas micarta.

Oh, I forgot to say I want mine an actual GEC in stainless.

A #48 dogleg Tidioute trapper, single long clip blade, long pull & swedge per Northfield, smooth bolsters per Tidioute, smooth ivory bone or smooth green camel bone covers, no shield, no text or logo on blade flats.

Or, a #63 Mako, all stainless blade with no text or logo, stainless liners, smooth bolsters, blue canvas Micarta covers, with a small smooth fish shield.

#92 Eureka Jack
- spear blade like the later #92 Talon
- long pull
- no change to secondary coping blade
- rat tail bolster or standard grooved Northfield bolsters
- lignum vitae or olivewood covers
- no shield
- bareheaded

An ebony #53 Moose with a caplifter added to one end and an awl to the other....a "Beer Harness Moose". :D

Candy shop again?
A #66 calf roper stockman without the spey blade (thus a clip/sheepsfoot jack) in 440C and ebony/blackwood.

Fausto

Much like quattromori above, I would love a 2 blade stockman jack with a clip main and sheepsfoot secondary. However, I would prefer something slightly more slender than the 66. Maybe on the 76 frame?

Interesting thread.

I would like a 33 conductor, ebony in stainless with two blades one being a coping blade.

As long as we are taking crazy talk...we have a large Barlow (NF) how about a mini Barlow? Say a 3/4 scale of the standard TC?

A #56 dogleg jack with a muskrat clip main and sheepfoot behind, both nicks mark side, in 440C.
Barehead with rat-tail bolster and horsecut dark amber bone covers.

#73 single drop point blade with long pull, popcorn stag covers, lanyard hole.
Simple as that ... ;)

BTW: not sure whether I prefer 1095 or a stainless steel, both have their appeal.

This knife...

And this knife with a sheepfoot instead of the spey blade...

Both with this shield and bone covers...

I'd like some 440C GEC #48 Jacks in Elk, Ebony, Walnut, and some nice peach seed jigged bone like the bone Schrade 294s which Charlies's Diamond Jacks are very close to. I'd want stainless liners too...

I would like a 33 conductor, ebony in stainless with two blades one being a coping blade.

Count me in!!

On the 22 Magnum Frame/Northfield finish
-- Rat tail bolsters
-- Main Clip with long pull
-- Secondary sheepsfoot (with dehorned corner, i.e., the corner is rounded to not be sharp) similar in size to that on the 33W
-- Gabon Ebony (because it is seldom used in the Northfield finish)
-- No etch

I'd love something like the Northwoods Madison Barlow frame shape, scaled down to about 3.75", with a long pull clip blade, capped bolsters, and a dark mahogany jigged bone covers. So basically a Lanny's Clip with a cap end bolster. ;)

I think GEC should clear their schedule and get started on these knives! :)

Sounds like a nice knife. A sheefoot does not have a corner. I think you may be referring to their coping blade which they sometimes "dehorn". They knocked the corner off the coping blade on the 38 whittler also. Much more comfortable to use.
