I forgot the most important part of Blade in my previous post. The people and friends!

I could come home with zero knives and it would still be my most favorite weekend of the year.
 
I'd love to get a Arpad Bjotos masterpiece. That's still a bit above my budget though.
 
I hesitated a bit too long over one of Rick Noland's (sp?) last year..lost it to someone else.
This year I would really like to handle one of Ohta's knives. Going to be hard to pry the dollars from my wallet - but one of his might (if there is anything left if drawn at the Bose table).
 
It would have to be another Kerry Hampton, them things rarer than hens teeth. But well worth a wait if you are fortunate enough to get one. A lot of talent at blade, I will have to wait and see if another speaks to me. "Take me home"

Fixed blades are my choice.. Vintage fixed blade sheath knives in the following order:

Scagel's or Ruana's or Randall's

What sucks is it looks like I don't get to go now at this point unless something very unforeseen and miraculous happens in the next 24 hours. And I have a couple VIP 3 Day(get in to the show early) passes worth big bucks and they are likely going to go to waste... dammit.. :eek::mad::grumpy:




EDIT TO ADD: I just had a thought.. If anyone here that is Absolutely going to the Blade Show, and would like these VIP 3 DAY BLADE SHOW PASSES, then contact me via email right now and I will mail them to you immediately, FREE of charge of coarse.. First come first serve.

Very much looking forward to it partner. Truth be known, I'll be miss'n a heap of all the lad's & lassie's here that be going to the show this go-round.

Some of you all, please take lots of pictures of one another for the after Blade Show threads to be shared amongst the rest of us poor folksy guys and gals?!!
 
SunnyD, I absolutely would take one pass and go... ...if I lived closer.

That's a great gesture and I hope they find a good home.
